QA Automation Engineer in VIATEC

Our partners "U-PROX SYSTEM" are looking for a QA automation engineer. 

"U-PROX SYSTEM" is Ukrainian manufacturer of security and access control systems with a 22-year history. We are an innovative company specializing in software development for video surveillance systems in the SOHO segment.

Required Skills:

• 2+ years of experience as a QA engineer, with a focus on test automation
• Experience with programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, or Java
• Knowledge of automation frameworks like Playwright, Selenium, Appium, Cypress, or Katalon Studio
• Strong knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and its practical application
• Experience and understanding of API testing
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines like Jenkins or GitHub Actions
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Understanding of client-server architecture and basic networking concepts
• Experience with Linux and its network tools
• Ability to perform root cause analysis (RCA) of bugs through logs
• Strong analytical skills for requirements analysis and test documentation creation
• Proficiency in test design techniques and their application in automated test scripts
• Understanding of IoT protocols, embedded hardware, and firmware testing

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites for our physical products, applications, and
• APIs
• Execute manual testing for functionality not covered by automation
• Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation (test plans, test cases, test reports)
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure testability of features and implement effective test
• strategies
• Identify defects, conduct root cause analysis, and work with developers on bug resolution
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
• Optimize test execution time and maintain the stability of automated test suites
• Participate in code reviews of test automation scripts
• Stay updated with the latest trends and tools in test automation
