Python Developer in Metinvest Digital

We are looking for a Python Developer with 4+ years of experience to join the Metinvest Digital R&D team. We create industrial-ready software products and services with powerful backend architecture and AI components. Our solutions automate business processes and provide measurable business value.

KEY TASKS:

• Develop and support the myOCR product and other Python backend services for AI solutions;
• Develop and support REST / API backends, including business logic, data validation and integrations;
• Development and integration of AI and LLM components into backend services (document processing, data extraction, validation, reasoning);
• Design and support of end-to-end processing pipelines, including queues, background tasks and asynchronous processes;
• Working with Azure cloud services (App Services, Functions, Storage, Queues);
• Participation in technical discussions, proposing solutions and gradual involvement in technical leadership.

YOU ARE OUR CANDIDATE IF YOU HAVE:

• Higher technical education (computer science, software engineering, IT or related fields). Practical experience and commercial projects are prioritized over formal education;
• 4+ years of experience as a Python backend engineer;
• Experience in developing and supporting backend solutions (API, business logic, integrations) for product systems used in real business processes;
• Experience with Azure cloud services, integrations, asynchronous processes, queues and background tasks;
• End-to-end understanding of data processing pipelines;
• Experience integrating AI/LLM components into production;
• English level – B1 or higher;
• System and product thinking;
• Flexibility in working with uncertainty and complex tasks;
• Effective communication with stakeholders.
