Employee's main activity:
Provide programmatic psychological / psychosocial services according to MSF standards, in order to provide the most appropriate mental health support for beneficiaries.
Main responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning, organization and coordination of mental health care activities in close collaboration between the Mental Health Manager and other members of the medical team to ensure the effective and efficient use of necessary resources while maintaining a high level of quality in MSF's mental health programs and activities.
- Organize mental health support for beneficiaries in accordance with MSF protocols and standards to ensure the most appropriate work with beneficiaries with psychosocial needs.
- Keep in touch with other members of the MSF project team.
- To teach (lectures, trainings) beneficiaries basic skills of mental health support, to teach medical workers the basics of providing assistance for psychological disorders.
- Control administrative processes related to psychosocial functioning.
- Provide psychological support to beneficiaries in accordance with MSF protocols to improve their mentalcondition and increase their functional capabilities.
- Collect statistical data related to activities in the field of mental health and report to the manager of medical activity and the mental health manager.
- In cooperation with the mental health manager, suggest to the consulting psychologists conduct audits of their consultations.
- Ensure confidentiality of all information about beneficiaries.
Features of the MSF unit:
- Working in the Donetsk region based in m. Sloviansk and visits to other settlements to provide psychological assistance to the population and medical staff of hospitals. categories of people (in most cases, for medical professionals) on key topics of mental health. Prepare presentations for trainings.
- Fill out reporting forms, regularly analyze data on psychological assistance.
- Provide suggestions for improving the process of providing psychological assistance.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
- Degree in psychosocial or related field is required.
Experience / competencies:
- Experience in psycho-social counseling for at least 2 years;
- It is necessary to know the local language (Ukrainian) and the language of the mission (English).
