Save the Children
Save the Children International is a humanitarian organization with more than 100 years of history. Save the Children was founded in May 1919 in London. SCI has been working in Ukraine since 2014. It started its work in the territory of Donetsk region. Currently, SCI is expanding its activities to eight cities of Ukraine. We work in the areas of education, child protection, overcoming child poverty, health care, and also conduct advocacy activities related to the protection of children's rights.
Purpose of Role :
This task involves the implementation of MHPSS emergency response programs to meet child protection needs and their families affected by the conflict and displacement in Ukraine. Also support for children affected by the conflict in the communities of the Mykolaiv region.
Main duties:
- Registration of children in each of the institutions (Pervomayskyi, Voznesenskyi, Bashtanskyi and Mykolaivskyi districts) Mykolayiv region through the KOBO form (if there are problems with the Internet, paper forms will be available).
- Acceptance of signed photo forms.
- Maintaining constant communication with facilitators. p>
- Provision of services from Monday to Friday (or Tuesday to Saturday by agreement with institutions) with 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Must read, understand and follow all SCI rules and complete safety training.
To be successful, you must:
- Assessment and registration: the ability to assess children's needs and effectively register them. Mark attendance after each session with children.
- Communication skills: excellent oral and written communication skills in Ukrainian and/or Russian.
- Attention to detail: great attention to detail to ensure accurate registration and documentation.
- Interpersonal skills: ability to interact effectively with vulnerable children and institutional administration.
- Organizational skills: strong organizational and time management skills to multitask and comply deadlines.
- Team collaboration: ability to collaborate with Save the Children staff and other stakeholders.
- Adaptability: flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and working conditions.
p>Desirable:
- Previous experience of working with international organizations will be an advantage.
- Previous work experience in the region: previous work experience in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.
- Computer literacy: especially experience with data entry software, such as KOBO forms.
- Project management: basic knowledge of management principles and practices projects.
