Safeguarding Officer (Kyiv) - Intranet DCA (emply.com)

Under the leadership HR Coordinator The Protection Specialist will be responsible for the protection policy and its implementation. The Safeguarding Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day implementation of the Code of Conduct, including program-wide safeguarding policies and procedures. 

Essential Responsibilities:
Contribute to a thorough understanding of the DCA/NCA Code of Conduct, expected staff behavior and safeguarding.
Ensure assessment of safeguarding policies and procedures and supporting their periodic review, if necessary, with the support of the Accountability and Grievance Advisor . 
Initiate the analysis of risks related to the protection of the project and the determination of appropriate measures to reduce them.
Maintain regular information of staff, volunteers, partners and communities.
Ensure the inclusion of protection issues in the meetings of the board of managers and reports on their results. 
Be the PSEA point of contact for DCA/NCA staff and supportees to obtain the correct information and options regarding communication channels and services for victims and to receive complaints related to sexual harassment Exploitation, Violence and Harassment (EXPL).
Support the implementation of the Standard Operating Procedure of the Feedback and Protection Mechanism in Ukraine.
Provide support to the DCA/NCA protection team as requested in creating and disseminating information on key referral pathways and response for victims of violence, exploitation and abuse.
Collaborate with DCA/NCA's protection team to integrate protection policy into all programs, as well as cooperation with protection networks and presentation of DCA/NCA in the Ukrainian network of organizations
br/>Train staff and partners on the DCA/NCA Code of Conduct, expected staff behavior and safeguarding.
Prepare guidance documents and key messages and build capacity of field teams and partners to incorporate key safeguarding messages into existing engagement activities public. Regular monitoring of the risk register. 
Preparation of periodic reports on protection-related activities and activities.
Assists in the development and adaptation of training materials (presentations, handouts, etc.) and tools to facilitate the implementation of capacity-building initiatives and conduct trainings on protection for DCA/NCA employees and partners.
Ability and willingness to travel to different offices and partners in different regions of Ukraine.

Requirements:
Knowledge and experience of working with the protection policy (ZSEN) in the organization.
The presence of a diploma in psychology will be an advantage
Previous work experience andcommunication with victims/survivors of SSE.
Communication, training and facilitation skills, strong interpersonal skills.
 Sincerity, responsibility, honesty, openness, willingness to help, ability to evaluate people, empathy.
MS Office , Internet
English A2/B1

For this position, work-related travel is expected.
