About the job:
Providing logistical support, administrative support and other interdisciplinary tasks to support teams with humanitarian disarmament and peacebuilding, often working in the field. This role liaises between humanitarian disarmament and peacebuilding teams in the field and support services in the area or base office and reports to the Humanitarian Mine Action Lead.
Your duties will be
Logistics/Purchasing/Fleet Management
- Support logistics and procurement tasks (search suppliers, local purchases, organization of deliveries, shipment of goods, documentation related to purchases).
- Responsible for fleet management; coordination of vehicle and driver usage in the most efficient way.
- Manage and maintain procurement tracker, report on fleet management and inventory checklist
- Supervision of fixed assets and software
- Create/maintain an up-to-date inventory of all demining assets.
- Maintain logistics tasks focused on demining activities
Office Management:
- Setting up the daily work of the office
- Supervise the performance of administrative duties, including the storage of office supplies, planning, translation (written and personal) and other administrative tasks.
- Assist in drafting staff travel documents (order requests, travel reports).
- Assist with administrative tasks in accordance with DRC internal regulations and procedures.
- Support administrative tasks related to with visits by internal and external stakeholders to the base and/or demining sites.
- Support in identifying and contracting appropriate training facilities, as needed.
About you To be successful in this role, we expect you to have at least 2 years of relevant experience in logistics, fleet managementm and will speak English at the B-1 Intermediate level or higher
In addition , we also expect the following from you:
- Fluency in the Ukrainian language
- Relevant experience jobs in logistics, fleet management, office management. Including planning, implementation and control of operational processes
- Good communication skills
- Developed organizational skills
- Accuracy in working with documents
- Technical work skills from IT: Experience with MS Word and Excel. Computer skills with both word processing and spreadsheet programs for data collection, with the ability to create presentations and write reports preferred.
- Education/Qualifications: University degree in relevant field or equivalent professional qualification in the field of logistics/economics
