UNDP is in line with 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to achieve national strategic capacity development.ContextThis assignment is part of the UNDP's project aimed at strengthening the government system for crisis management and recovery in Ukraine, ensuring sustainability, effectiveness, and transparency in ongoing crisis and emergency coordination efforts. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine (hereafter – MFA) has identified the need to simultaneously implement several interlinked projects of varying sizes to advance its digital transformation agenda. These projects are part of the broader development of services for diverse audiences, including citizens, diplomats, and others. A transparent model of cooperation between the MFA and international partners is expected to be established and managed by a unified project coordinator. In this context, UNDP is recruiting an expert with relevant experience and a proven track record for the position of Coordination Expert.Task description- Analyse existing systems, their performance, in compliance with legislation related to digital transformation, project management, software development, standards and information security.- Collaborate with high-level stakeholders and partners to streamline project objectives and deliverables.- Establish communication with all participants of the diplomatic process with the aim of involving and developing existing systems, introducing new systems.- Direct the creation and dissemination of comprehensive online reports, emphasizing clarity, accuracy, and adherence to international standards.- Provide guidance and mentorship to the project team, fostering capacity-building and ensuring knowledge sustainability.- Create a plan with fixing deadlines for setting up work, administration, modernization, etc. of systems.- Involve end users in systems in all countries and create conditions for action (chat-bot support, creation of communication spaces in diasporas, consolidation of educational, scientific, public associations, etc.);- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and UNDP Ukraine Leadership.Required QualificationsMaster's degree or equivalent in Project management, Digital Transformation, Innovation, Systems thinking and designA minimum of 7 years of professional work experience in project management, process coordination, digital transformation.Fluency in Ukrainian, working knowledge of EnglishSummary of Entitlements• Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA): USD 2076 (equivalent in UAH)• USD 400 entry lump sum• Medical insurance: The UN Volunteer and eligible PFU dependents will receive UNV provided medical insurance coverage.• Life Insurance: UN Volunteers are covered by life insurance for the duration of the UN Volunteer assignment.• Annual leave: UN Volunteers accrue an entitlement to 2.5 days of Annual Leave per completed month of the UN Volunteer assignment.• Learning leave: Subject to supervisor approval and exigencies of service, UN Volunteers may request up to ten working days of Learning Leave per consecutive 12 months of the UN Volunteer assignment• Certified Sick Leave: UN Volunteers are entitled to up to 30 days of certified sick leave based on a 12-month cycle.• Uncertified Sick Leave: UN Volunteers receive seven days of uncertified sick leave working days in a calendar year.
