The Restore-Edu Project Assistant (here and after – Assistant) provides support to the project team to ensure proper implementation of ACTED project improving access to education in Chernihiv oblast. The assistant will support the team's activities in the Chernihiv oblast, handling administrative tasks, technical assessments, calculations, estimates, assisting in organizing meetings/events, and developing internal and external materials.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning
- Participate in planning and conducting activities related to communication , coordination, and project implementation in the Chernihiv region. Provide support in meetings with external stakeholders during the project implementation process.
- Regularly collaborate with the Restore Edu Project Officer to update work plans, document work results, and other materials that are significant for effective project management.
Project Implementation Follow-up
- Assist in oversees and strong>manages the implementation of the project ensuring that technical quality and standards are considered and respected during project(s) implementation in accordance with ACTED technical guidelines and standards.
- Assist in organizing regular project coordination meetings with project team .
- Assist in regularly updating the work plan, output tracker, PMF and other documents relevant for effective project management
- Participate in assessments and technical supervision in the field.
Administration and Operational Management of Project Implementation< /p>
- Finance: Assist in reviewing the BFU(s) and provide accurate forecasts
- Logistics: Collaborate with the Restore Edu Project Officer to facilitate the development of procurement plans. Ensure proper management and utilization of project assets and inventory
- Security: Ensure that each member of the project team is aware of security issues, policies, SOPs and they follow them accordingly. In cooperation with the relevant Security Officer, monitor the local security situation
Reporting
- Assist in preparing the project technical reports.
- Assist in drafting (internal) narrative reports and contribute to the development of financial reports through regular budgetary follow-up.
- Provide regular and timely updates on progress and challenges to supervisors and other team members.
- Contribute to drafting of (internal and external) project progress reports, ensuring the quality and accuracy of technical information provided.
Required experience and skills
- Knowledge of the structure of local authorities and governments.
- Experience in the humanitarian and/or development sector.
- Knowledge of regulatory documents (State Construction Norms, State Standards of Ukraine).
- Knowledge of construction and repair work technology, norms for building material consumption.
- Experience in developing strategies/ plans, community engagement, outreach with local authorities.
- Working level of English, fluent in Russian and Ukrainian.
- Computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Office software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and in a team, actively offer your own ideas.
