Description:We seek a skilled Senior Software Engineer to lead the upgrade of a large-scale Object Storage system from its current Gen1 infrastructure to the next-generation Gen2 platform. The Object Storage solution is S3-compatible and deployed globally across multiple global cloud regions, supporting external customers and internal workloads.The existing Object Storage system uses CEPH for back-end storage and an OpenResty-based front end, with APIs integrated through Python applications.The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of storage solutions, cloud-native technologies, and Kubernetes and will drive the technical direction and implementation of the Gen2 upgrade.Requirements:Have 12 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or its equivalent.Be highly proficient in software development in C/C++Possess hands-on experience with CephDisplay best practices, sharing knowledge, and mentoringIn-depth understanding of Object Storage architecturesHands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native tools like Cilium, Istio, Argo, and OpenTelemetryExpertise in large-scale object storage systems, particularly CEPH or similar distributed storage technologiesFamiliarity with bare-metal hardware and Solidgm NVMe QLC storage solutionsStrong problem-solving abilities, especially in large-scale infrastructure and storage environmentsExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teamsJob Responsibilities:Led the initiative to convert Object Storage clusters from Gen1 to Gen2 across global data centers and internal clusters.
