Pricing Actuary (Non-Life) - Kniazha Vienna Insurance Group (VIG)

Role purpose
Own and develop technical and market pricing for Non-Life portfolios, ensuring rate adequacy, profitable growth and robust pricing governance, leveraging VIG methodologies and best market practices.
Your tasks (core responsibilities)
- Build and maintain pricing models for new and existing products (e.g., MTPL, CASCO, Household, PA&Health, Travel): frequency/severity, trend & inflation, risk factors, segmentation, technical premium etc.
- Run portfolio monitoring: combined ratio drivers, mix shifts, rate adequacy, discount and commission impact, renewal performance; propose corrective actions.
- Support pricing governance: tariff changes, documentation, peer review, audit trail, product approval pack and implementation control.
- Provide pricing analytics to Underwriting and Product teams; ensure alignment between technical and sold premium.
- Improve data quality and automate reporting (pricing dashboards, KPIs, plan/actual variance, management insights).
- Drive technical excellence in Retail Pricing and contribute to Vienna Insurance Group wide best practices.
Your profile (requirements)
- Higher education in Actuarial Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Economics / Data Science.
- 1+ years in Non-Life actuarial/pricing.
- Strong Excel; confident in statistical/data tools (e.g., Python / SQL). Power BI is a plus.
- Understanding of insurance economics: underwriting cycle, claims dynamics, acquisition costs, reserving/pricing interaction.
- English (working proficiency - upper-intermediate) to operate with group methodology and peers.
Advantage (nice-to-have)
- Experience with pricing software / GLM frameworks; experience in MTPL/CASCO pricing.
- Professional actuarial qualification progress
- Experience collaborating in international group environment and sharing best practices.
