PLC Automation Engineer @ S2Innovation in S2Innovation

We are looking for an experienced PLC Programmer specializing in Beckhoff (or Siemens) systems to join our team. The person in this position will be responsible for programming and testing industrial automation systems based on Beckhoff PLC controllers. The main task will be to expand the existing library to facilitate the integration and management of a wider range of terminals (I/O cards), in particular Beckhoff terminals. 

The project is being carried out for a foreign client and most communication will be in English.

Hybrid work - 25% on business trips to the client, 75% remotely and from the office.

Requirements:

• Higher technical education in the field of automation, electrical engineering or related fields.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in PLC programming, including at least 2 years of experience with Beckhoff (or Siemens) systems.
• Knowledge of the TwinCAT programming environment.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams.
• Analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
• Communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Knowledge of English at a level enabling free technical communication
• Knowledge of IEC61131-3 Structured Text (ST).
• Knowledge of Git.
• Experience in working with HMI and SCADA systems (an additional advantage).
• Knowledge of Python (additional advantage).
• Knowledge of industrial networks, especially EtherCAT
• Knowledge of German (an additional advantage).
