PHP in Vilgain

Vilgain is a European e-commerce brand in the field of health & lifestyle. We are actively scaling the platform and gradually dividing the monolith into domain services. We are looking for a strong Senior PHP Developer who can think systematically, write clean code and communicate comfortably in English in work situations.

What you will do

• Develop the backend of the e-commerce platform on PHP 8.2 + Symfony (API, business logic, integrations).

• Design and implement components in the direction event-driven architecture.

• Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, optimize performance and stability.

• Write tests, conduct code reviews, improve code quality and technical processes.

• Interact with products and teams (engineering, mobile, BI), form technical solutions.

• Lead tasks from design to production: decomposition, risk assessment, release.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience with PHP, confidently at Senior level.

• Deep knowledge of Symfony (or willingness to adapt quickly if strong experience with Laravel/other frameworks).

• Experience with SQL and query optimization (PostgreSQL).

• Understanding of architecture: DDD, CQRS (will be a plus), event-driven approach, integration patterns.

• Practice of testing (unit/integration), work with CI/CD.

GraphQL.

• Experience migrating monolith to microservices / modular architecture.

• Experience with Docker and production ecosystem (logging, metrics, alerts).
