We are currently increasing our efforts in Ukraine and neighboring countries to provide assistance to people forced to leave their homes due to war. 

We are looking for a Partnership Officer (Finance) to join our team at the NRC Northern Regional Office in Chernihiv.

The ideal candidate should have experience in financial management, budgeting and reporting, as well as integrate these skills into the broader area of ​​partnership development. The Partnership Officer will combine financial oversight with wider partnership responsibilities, supporting the growth and effectiveness of our joint initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Development of quality budgets aligned with NRC formats and standards in coordination with project managers;
  • Tracking partner costs and reviewing interim and final financial reports in coordination with project managers;
  • Checking of the accompanying financial documentation with the support of the financial coordinator;
  • Supporting the coordinator of partnership and interaction with the community in creating a map of local partners, identifying potential partners and establishing relations with them in the Northern region;
  • Facilitating communication and coordination between NRC and partners, as well as conducting monitoring visits to partners;
  • Identifying capacity development needs and supporting the Partnership and Public Engagement Coordinator to coordinate systematic capacity development activities. This may include support in the organization of trainings, coaching and mentoring;
  • Brief translations from Ukrainian to English or vice versa of relevant documents related to partners;
  • Support of the Coordinator on matters of partnership and interaction with the public in contracting and awarding sub-grants to NRC partners in the Northern Region;
  • Supporting local partners in familiarizing themselves with NRC reporting templates, paying particular attention to supporting partners with NRC financial reporting requirements, supported by the NRC Finance Department;
  • Monitor compliance by partners with NRC requirements and, if necessary, specific donor requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, international development or related fields;
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience working in humanitarian or development organizations, or in Ukrainian civil society;
  • Good financial skills to support partners in financial reporting are mandatoryand the ability to work with budgets in Excel;
  • Good command of English (both written and spoken) and Ukrainian is a must;
  • Attention to details, organizational skills and caution in working with confidential information;
  • A confident user of MS Office 365, online information platforms.
  • Willingness to work in Chernihiv, which is the main place of work for this position.

We offer:

  • Employment contract until December 31, 2024 with the possibility of extension.
  • Official salary and medical insurance.
  • Working schedule: 9.00-17.00, Saturday, Sunday - weekends.
