Job description:

The Partner Engagement Specialist will work with the Partner Engagement Manager and  Mission Director to maintain communication and support for country partners. The position is based in Mykolaiv, but will require regular visits to all International Medical Corps missions and field offices.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Subgrants management and compliance requirements

  • Act as the main contact person for sub-grant management and compliance at the local level;
  • Dissemination of strategies and training materials developed by the IMC;
  • Improving the capacity of subgrantee staff to manage their grants, including general financial management and compliance with donor regulations through constant field support and mentoring;
  • Assistance in the development and implementation of training programs on financial management and compliance with donor requirements;

Financial Oversight/Support:

  • Provide direct technical support in all aspects of financial management for MMK subrecipients.< /li>
  • Monitoring all assigned sub-agreements and ensuring compliance with Compliance Manuals and Financial Rules and Regulations donors;
  • Regular monitoring and assessment of the ability of each sub-grantee to accurately register and report on financial transactions within the framework of the MMK grant;
  • Regularly monitor and evaluate the ability of each subgrantee of the MMK grant. Ensure the reliability of financial reporting of sub-grantees and effective control over financial and material assets; 
  • assist in developing and conducting training programs on financial issues as needed. 
  • Assessment of internal control and site visitsParticipate inevaluations of control and monitoring of the internal control system as necessary;
  • Preparation of reports on visits to facilities on issues of internal control, procurement, human resources management, asset management and use budget partners The reports will contain conclusions based on the results of the visits, explanations of the conclusions, criteria and recommendations, as well as requirements for further actions; 
  • Conclusion on the adequacy of the internal control system of sub-grantees, compliance with current legislation and regulations.

Minimum requirements:

  • Education, corresponding to the position - accounting, legal, statistical or similar;
  • Experience in building the capacity of local organizations and their staff;
  • Knowledge and experience of working with donor regulatory documents; 
  • Fluent command of English and Ukrainian languages.
  • Good communication skills;
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access);
