JOB OVERVIEW

The Partnership Manager is a key position supporting the Ukrainian IRC program. With the overall goal of achieving high quality and program compliance, the main objective of this position is to manage the partnership portfolio and support the field office (and IRC in Ukraine as a whole) to ensure effective subgrant management and build strong, sustainable partnerships. The Partnership Manager will coordinate the day-to-day management of sub-grants under his leadership and invest in their sustainable development and potential for the Ukrainian portfolio.  

This position will be based in Odesa, with periodic business trips to other cities of Ukraine, if relevant. As the situation is fluid and rapidly changing, the location of this position and duration of travel may vary depending on the needs of the program.   

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Promote effective partnership

    < li>Promote and implement the Partnership Excellence for Equality and Results system (PEERS).
  • Contribute to the development of a deep understanding of PEERS throughout the program and ensure the application of partnership principles, IRC skills and approaches in programs and projects with partners.
  • Facilitate systematic feedback from partners on partnership management by the IRC, including documenting and responding to partner feedback.
  • Help shape and disseminate views and values ​​that foster partnerships between field staff and between partners based on a clear and shared understanding of the IRC's strategy, role and approach, as well as IRC's core partnership principles.
  • Ensure the application of IRC partnership principles, skills and approaches in all programs and projects.

Partnership Management

  • Facilitating and coordinating all partnership management processes to ensure a well-planned , timely, coordinated and agreed management of partnerships.
  • Management and general management of all partnerships in your portfolio and all processes/documentation according to PEERS.
  • Conduct and coordinate partner identity and biographic verification processes data, including completion of the due diligence report.
  • Coordinate and lead the Partnership Potential Analysis (PCA) processes, including facilitating joint risk analysis and management.
  • Support the facilitation of the partnership project cycle: Discovery , take a lookd and closing meetings.
  • Coordinate narrative and financial reporting processes, including reviews and feedback.
  • Support IRC functional teams in ensuring timely and effective analysis and reflection (monitoring) of the partner program, finance and compliance.
  • Support IRC functional teams to ensure project support plans are executed in accordance with agreements.
  • Make timely changes to sub-grants, ensuring that relevant IRC units (( in country and HQ) will provide input and approve changes.
  • Contribute to management processes to ensure smooth closeout of partner projects where possible.
  • Maintain complete and organized partner files for of each partner, and ensure data is up-to-date in the partner project tracking system / monitoring and reporting schedule and other trackers.
  • Encourage continuous learning, honest dialogue and reflection at team level to strengthen safeguarding, welfare and duty of care , and to promote IRC values ​​and uphold IRC policies.
  • Lead by example and support IRC's commitment to take all necessary preventive measures and create an environment in which people feel safe and able to report wrongdoing.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in international development or international relations, finance, business or related fields; higher education or equivalent work experience

 

Experience:

  • Experience with international humanitarian organizations preferred
  • Demonstrated successful experience working with partners
  • Knowledge of key donor rules and regulations (including USAID (BHA), SIDA and ECHO)
  • Highly organized, keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively in a changing environment

Demonstrated SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Knowledge English: not lower than upper-intermediate level
  • Ability to work well independently, but also to coordinate work with other teams
  • Willingness to travel frequently to field offices and partner locations
  • li>Very strong computer skills.

 

REPORTING STRUCTURE AND TEAMWORK< /p>

  • This position reports to the Coordinator of Partnerships in Kyiv and reports to one Partnership Specialist. The Partnerships Manager works closely with other members of the Partnerships team, as well as programmatic and operational colleagues in Odesa and Kyiv, as well as regional/headquarters support teams.
