Introduction:
In 2024, Ukraine announced a mandatory evacuation due to increased shelling and air attacks by Russian forces on the frontline regions. Daily shelling of Kharkiv Oblast, Sumy Oblast, and Donetsk Oblast has led to significant internal migration, and more than 15,000 civilians in Pokrovsk are under immediate threat. According to the UN, more than 300,000 people in these regions need support, but financial resources for evacuation are limited.
The project "Emergency assistance and evacuation support" from Team4UA offers a comprehensive solution that provides safe transportation and temporary housing for civilians from risk zones. The TERA Consortium, created by Team4UA together with Ukrainian NGOs, includes East SOS as a leading associate partner, as well as the Charitable Organization Aid Coordination Center and Angels of Salvation as members of the Consortium, coordinating evacuation efforts with a focus on vulnerable population groups.
Team4UA Description:
Ukrainian a charity established in March 2022 with experience in emergency relief, recovery and innovative reconstruction projects. We cooperate with UN agencies (WFP, UNICEF) and international organizations and foundations (Mercy Corps, TED). Since its founding, Team4UA has provided humanitarian aid to 2.3 million people, including implementing such projects as the construction of a school in Lviv with the help of 3D concrete printing technology.Team4UA was created by a team of former technology entrepreneurs who combined their skills and experience to address Ukraine's most important long-term needs. The organization has extensive experience working in frontline regions and areas most affected by hostilities, including near the border with Russia. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, our activities have covered the most difficult-to-reach regions, as well as those with the highest concentrations of internally displaced persons or people returning home.
Team4UA teams are based in Lviv, where they provide administrative and financial support, in Kyiv, where our headquarters is located, and in Dnipro, where operational activities, monitoring and evaluation of projects are carried out.
General description of the position:
Under the direct supervision of the manager programs, the Partnerships and Grants Officer is the key link between the Team4UA program team, the Operations Department, UN partners and agencies, the OCHA Cluster or any other relevant external stakeholders. Officer with pitaThe Partnerships and Grants Manager will work closely with the Program Manager to develop and consolidate clear and effective project proposals and descriptions for donors or funding partners. As a key member of the program department, the Partnerships and Grants Officer will support the development of Team4UA's strategy in line with donor priorities by conducting active research and participating in various meetings and working groups organized by UN agencies, NGOs or donors. In relation to the Emergency Assistance and Evacuation Support (EASE) project, the Partnerships and Grants Officer will explore opportunities to expand the scope of the TERA Consortium through new or expanded projects and activities.Tasks and duties:
Contact with partners: Interaction with local partners of Team4UA and members of the TERA Consortium to gather information about their priorities, opportunities and challenges they face for the potential development of a joint project or the evolution of Team4UA's current activities in cooperation with the protection and feedback manager.
Localization activity: Contribute to the development and launch of competitive applications within the framework of projects supporting CSOs, NGOs, potential entrepreneurs together with members of the Program Department team.
Tracking information: Actively seek valuable information from open sources (reports, news, posts and articles of interested parties) to improve Team4UA's program guidelines and project proposal focused on the needs and interests of the community.
Communication with authorities: Liaising with local, regional and/or national authorities to ensure alignment of program development with state or government programs and gathering targeted needs assessments.
Feature definition: Monitoring and classification of potential grant proposals from institutional donors, UN agencies, NGOs, charitable foundationsand other interested parties in accordance with the program priorities of Team4UA, as well as maintaining the relevance of the internal grant management database in an up-to-date state.
Program development: Ensuring the high quality of project proposals addressed to potential funding partners and/or donors by preparing, developing and writing concept notes, descriptions, work plans, presentations or other relevant documents under the supervision of the program manager.
Coordinating mechanisms: Participation in relevant meetings groups, target groups of Humanitarian NGO Platforms in Ukraine, OCHA Clusters, TERA Consortium for the purpose of exchanging information within Team4UA and outside its borders about the activities or priorities of Team4UA.
Stakeholder involvement: Maintain and develop effective working relationships with all stakeholders, including NGOs NGOs, OCHA Clusters, UN agencies, civil society organizations and external entities relevant to capacity building and program development , by attending closed meetings or public events as a Team4UA representative.
Cooperation with departments: Support the Program Manager in tasks related to partnership management or program development, maintaining daily communication with other team members and the operations department.
Requirements:
Higher education in the field of international relations, social, economic, humanities
2 years of experience in grant management in a medium or large organization.
Experience in an NGO will be an advantage.
Experience working on projects with institutional donors (USAID, ECHO, FCDO, etc.) and/or UN agencies is a valuable asset.
Understanding the standards and processes of NGOs, the humanitarian sector is a must.
Willingness to continuously participate in professional development activities to ensure an up-to-date understanding of internal and donor rules and regulations, as well as best practices in business development, management grants and reporting.
Ability to work offline with strong interpersonal skills
Knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is a must.
Effective oral and written communication (both in English and Ukrainian languages), analytical, organizational and prioritization skills, as well as presentation skills.

The position will be based in Kyiv. Business trips with spending up to 5-10% of working time in other locations (Dnipro) will be required.

Contract: until August 29, 2025 (in connection with the end of the project) with the possibility of extension if there are new ones.
