"Tenth of April" is a public organization that works in the direction improving the protection of internally displaced persons (IDPs), the population affected by the conflict, through the provision of legal, social, psychological and humanitarian assistance, promotes changes in legislation, involvement of communities in responding to emergency situations and the search for long-term solutions, in cooperation with authorities and supporting their capacity, with a special emphasis on the most vulnerable groups.

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive team player who is interested in communication, effective communication and self-development with the goal of protecting internally displaced persons and persons affected by conflict.

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • mentoring and supporting civil society organizations (assessing the organizational capacity of civil society organizations; developing individual institutional development plans; accompanying the implementation of strategies, policies and internal procedures of civil society organizations; providing methodical support);
  • coordinate grant mechanisms (selection and conclusion of grant agreements; accompany the grant implementation process; monitor the use of funds; provide support for donor and financial reporting of grant recipients);
  • support partnerships between civil society organizations and stakeholders;
  • model, organize and conduct educational and educational activities;
  • evaluate the effectiveness of educational measures;
  • develop informational materials;
  • compose reports, descriptive reports with quantitative and qualitative indicators and other internal organizational documentation;
  • provide advisory assistance, dissemination of information about access to social services, legal, psychological and other types of assistance. Qualification requirements. Technical skills:
  • Education: Higher education inin social sciences, social work, law, psychology, public administration, or related fields.
  • Experience: Experience working with IDPs, conflict-affected populations, or other vulnerable groups. Experience in the field of public interaction, humanitarian or social projects is an advantage. Proven experience in organizing and conducting events, trainings or workshops. Experience in capacity building of civil society organizations and/or community structures (councils, committees, etc.) would be an advantage. Contract experience.
  • Skills: Developed facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build trust and work with diverse populations on a respectful basis. Ability to plan and organize own work, attention to details. Ability to work both independently and in a multidisciplinary team. Basic understanding of the principles of protection and community-based approaches. Languages: Ukrainian is mandatory. English is preferred.
  • Competencies: Community mobilization and involvement. Managing stakeholder engagement and developing partnerships. Group facilitation and public speaking. Analytical thinking and problem solving. Cultural sensitivity and respect for diversity. Responsibility, reliability and integrity. High-quality preparation of reports and documentation. Willingness to travel.
  • Availability of a personal PC.
