ENGin Program Operations Manager

ENGin is a global non-profit organization , which connects Ukraine with the world in order to accelerate post-war reconstruction and ensure long-term economic and social development. We connect Ukrainian youth with volunteers from around the world who speak English fluently for free online conversational practice and cross-cultural networking.

We are looking for a Ukrainian operations manager of the ENGin program. You will be responsible for supporting the team in all aspects of the program:

(1) Conducting online interviews with prospective students and volunteers

(2) Providing answers to e-mails and messages of participants

(3) Conducting volunteer trainings

(4) Conducting program introduction meetings for students

(5) Connecting students with volunteers

Sending emails with various reminders

(7) Execution of tasks to attract new volunteers

(8) Certification of volunteer hours

The mix of tasks will change each week depending on the needs of the program and the busyness of the team (for example, if the interviewer is on vacation, you will conduct more interviews this week; if we receive a large number of letters from participants, you will spend (more time to answer emails) During the quieter weeks, you will monitor all these processes and look for ways to improve them.

This role is a great fitis for those who want to learn many new and diverse skills. You should be equally comfortable communicating with people (interviews, trainings) and working in detail with our database (matching students with volunteers, certification of hours). It is also important that you enjoy using critical and creative thinking to identify problems and find solutions.

Requirements:

  • High level of English, C1
  • Willingness and having a lot of energy to communicate with new people one-on-one and in groups (for conducting interviews, trainings, etc.)
  • Experience in support service will be a big advantage
  • Willingness to accept challenges and grow every day
  • Great attention to detail
  • Age 18+
  • responsibility for long-term employment (minimum 1 year)
  • Workload: 40 hours/week 
  • High flexibility (assignments vary each week and work in the evenings and some weekends)

OPERATIONS ASSOCIATE AT ENGin

ENGin is a global nonprofit organization that aims to connect Ukraine to the world in order to propel its postwar reconstruction and longer-term economic & social development. We’re doing this by pairing Ukrainian youth with English-speaking volunteers worldwide for English conversation practice and intercultural exchange. 

We are achieving nationwide change through a fully individualized approach deployed at unprecedented scale: 100,000+ 1-on-1 connections. We aim to create an entire generation of English-fluent, culturally competent Ukrainians ready to rebuild their nation.

We are hiring an Ukrainian Operations Associate at ENGin. This person will be responsible for supporting the team with all aspects of program operations:

(1) Interviewing prospective students and volunteers

(2) Answering customer service emails and messages

(3) Leading volunteer trainings

(4) Leading student orientation

(5) Matching accepted students to volunteers 

(6) Sending out email reminders to onboarding participants or checkins to current participants

(7) Volunteer recruitment research and outreach

(8) Certifying volunteer hours

The mix of tasks will change each week based on program needs and team availability (for instance, if an interviewer is out on vacation, you would do more interviews that week; if we receive a large number of emails, you would spend more time answering those). During quieter weeks, you will be keeping an eye on all of these processes and looking for ways to improve them. 

This role is going to be a great fit for someone who wants to learn many new and different skills. You should be equally comfortable interacting with people (interviews, trainings) and with highly detailed work with our database (matching, hours certification). It's also important to enjoy thinking critically and creatively to spot problems and think of solutions. 

Requirements:

  • High English fluency, C1+
  • Experience in customer support is advantage
     High energy to speak to new people one on one and in groups (for interviews, trainings etc)
  • Eager to be challenged and grow each day
  • High attention to detail
  • Age 18+
  • Commitment of at least 1 year
  • Workload 40 hours/week
  • Very flexible (each week is different, and evenings/some weekends are required)
