IFRC also adheres to strict child safeguarding principles.The British Red Cross (BRC) has been working in Ukraine since February 2022 following the escalation in conflict and established a country office in Kyiv in October 2022. The BRC Ukraine team works through and in close cooperation with the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement partners, including Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS), the IFRC and ICRC, and other partner National Societies.Job PurposeThe Grants Officer is responsible for providing programmatic and administrative support to BRC-supported programmes and activities in Ukraine.The role will support the successful implementation of BRC supported programmes and activities in Ukraine through our partnerships with Ukrainian Red Cross Society, Red Cross Movement partners, and other actors. The role will coordinate with the country programme management team, the regional business development team and the URCS project coordinator on programme cycle management, grant management and BRC internal strategic reporting and oversight, as well as ensuring the needs of our partners are met.Job Duties And Responsibilities Support the BRC country management team in Ukraine with quarterly internal strategy reporting; coordinating inputs and uploading to the Project Information Management System (PIMS). Contribute to governance reporting to the Major Programme Board and Corporate Risk Dashboard. Maintain the Ukraine Major Programme Board dashboard. Monitor and ensure compliance of processes in line with BRC’s International Quality Methodology. Maintain relevant programme documents and other files in BRC’s PIMS. Act as an in-country PIMS superuser, including the training and supporting of colleagues to use the platform appropriately. Act as in-country coordination point to support regional business development in strategic funding and bid development, including coordinating with programme managers on design documents and PIMS. Collaborate with regional business development to ensure effective oversight and tracking of new funding opportunities and restricted funding portfolio. Coordinate processes for developing grant agreement documents (GAD), including budgets, program files, and ensuring appropriate timely sign-off. Support Programme Managers in the preparation and running of in-country kick-off meetings with partners. Develop and maintain a consolidated grant reporting tracker through PIMS and contribute to the development of quality and timely donor report submissions. Coordinate with Programme Managers to ensure timely processing of payments to partners. Proactively raise and escalate potential contractual and compliance issues, where identified, and work closely with relevant programme, finance, or compliance colleagues to resolve. Contribute to timely programme modifications by supporting, as needed, the preparation of revision packages and ensuring that partner grant agreements and processes are updated. Support monitoring and evaluation processes, and donor visits to Ukraine.Team Member:Job Duties and Responsibilities (continued) Actively participates in all team meetings. Experience of working in a partnership setting. Experience of working with institutional donors such as FCDO and other donors. Experience of working in an international organizationKnowledge, Skills and LanguagesRequired: Excellent administration and organizational skills, including attention to detail and maintaining up-to-date and accurate records. Proven ability to prioritize and manage work effectively in a fast-paced environment, to deliver on time and in full against specific objectives. Excellent IT skills, including proficiency with all basic Microsoft Office packages and information management systems. Specific knowledge of the Ukraine context. An understanding of financial programme budgeting and reporting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
