JOB DESCRIPTION
The Gender Based Violence (GBV) Partnership Specialist provides support to the implementation of GBV interventions that implemented by multiple partners at different locations.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning programs
- Work closely with GBV leadership, partners and community representatives to plan program activities and develop/update work plans.
- Contribute to the identification and selection of local organizations for partnership.
- Lead the assessment of partner capacity and the development of appropriate capacity building plans.
- Coordinate with partners the planning of program activities and the preparation of project proposals (for (needs).
- Develop partner support plans.
Capacity development and implementation
- Act as technical contact person for regular communication and collaboration with partners in coordination with GBV line management and partnership department.
- Implement partner support plans, including support and monitoring visits, ensuring technical quality of intervention, compliance principles of GBV and humanitarian standards, as well as taking into account the needs of partners.
- Contribute to the development of the capacity of partners in accordance with support plans, in particular, organize and conduct technical trainings (as needed).
- Provide consulting support and mentoring to employees of partner organizations regarding the implementation of program activities and service delivery.
- Identify needs and risks in the field of organizational development of partners and coordinate their solutions with management and relevant divisions.
Interaction
- Work closely with the Partnership Department to prepare and update the partnership tracker.
- Maintain the partner monitoring schedule in accordance with the results of the Partner Capability Assessment and ensure program and compliance visits in coordination with the Partnership Department and responsible technical specialists.
- Contribute to the development capacity of partners in defined areas according to support plans.
- Work closely with the Partnership and Finance Departments to ensure timelyplanning and implementation of subgrant activities in accordance with PEERS guidance and with the participation of relevant IMC program staff.
- Interact with Partnership and Finance Departments to transfer communications to subgrant partners as requested.
Monitoring and reporting
- Support partners in understanding, developing and applying monitoring and reporting systems (for needs).
- Coordinate with the Partnerships Department, MEAL and GBV management to conduct monitoring visits.
- Review partner reports, request additional information, provide feedback and inform the Program Specialist and GBV management of agreed reports.
- Review partner budget pipelines and support monthly forecast planning as needed.
- Adapt partner support plans accordingly to the results of monitoring and reporting.
- Participate in the preparation of internal and external reports.
Coordination, advocacy and representation
- Regularly coordinate with the management of the GBV direction and, as necessary, participate in general team meetings.
- Collaborate with partners on joint representation.
- Support the participation of partners in coordination mechanisms GBV; facilitate their integration into the wider humanitarian system, professional networks and relevant opportunities.
- Ensure due recognition of the contribution of partners in all external representation activities.
- Coordinate engagement with community representatives and GBV professionals to obtain feedback on activities implemented by partners, ensuring community participation and inclusiveness.
- Promote a victim-centred approach in all internal and external coordination meetings.
- Present GBV program goals and standards.
Safety and compliance with standards of conduct
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and policies.
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and supportive work environment for all GBV employees and partners.
- Adhere to the Principles of Partnership in Humanitarian activities.
- Demonstrate key principles of GBV programming, including respect, non-discrimination, responsible use of authority, non-violence and the promotion of gender equality.
- Contribute to building a positive image and trust in the program and organization through adherence to the Code of Conduct and Ethics, including policies on preventing harassment, safeguarding and PSEA.
Other
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor or an authorized person.
- Perform additional duties, including temporary expansion of territorial powers, filling vacant positions for a specified period, replacement of colleagues during sick leave/vacation/business trips, internal combination of positions and other tasks in accordance with needs of the organization.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Higher education (Bachelor’s degree) or relevant professional experience.
- At least 1 year of experience working in the field of combating gender-based violence (GBV).
- NGO operational experience.
- Proven commitment to key programming principles in the field GBV, including gender equality and a victim-centered approach.
- Knowledge of GBV prevention and response standards, approaches and tools.
- Understanding of principles of partner-oriented programming.
- Experience in training and facilitation.
- Developed interpersonal and advocacy skills.
- Awareness of civil society networks society.
- A confident computer user with experience working with databases, Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to make informed decisions, remain flexible and apply experience in changing environments.
- Strong communication skills.
- Fluent in Ukrainian and English.
