Occupational safety engineer (international company) in Promotion

Our client - an international company that has been operating in Ukraine for 26 years in the field of production and sale of roofing and facade materials, is inviting an Occupational Safety and Environmental Safety Engineer to its team.

Main requirements for the candidate:

• Full higher education (preferably technical).
• Education in the field of labor protection.
• Work experience in a similar position at a production enterprise for at least 2 years (work experience in an international company is an advantage).
• Knowledge of current legislation in the field of security labor and fire safety.
• Knowledge and experience in the application of 5S, LEAN, Six Sigma, Opex, ISO standards systems is desirable.
• Successful experience in passing inspections by regulatory bodies is an advantage.
• Proficiency in English at a level no lower than Pre-Intermediate (A2) (preparation of reports and communication with European colleagues), readiness to raise the level of English.
• Fluent command of the Ukrainian language is mandatory.
• Skills for working with MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Outlook) at a confident level user.

Responsibilities:

• Organization of the company's activities in matters of occupational safety and fire safety.
< li>Compliance control legislation, rules, norms, provisions, instructions on occupational safety and fire safety.
• Participation in the organization of an effective occupational safety management system, implementation of corporate standards.
• Development of documentation on occupational safety issues, ensuring its proper registration and preservation.
• Organization and control of the implementation of measures for the safe performance of high-risk works.
• Conducting briefings on occupational safety and fire safety, organization of work on certification of workplaces.
• Organization of training of management, officials and employees of special categories on issues of occupational safety, fire safety, etc.
• Participation in investigation of accidents at the enterprise and in the development of effective preventive measures.
• Ensuring timely corporate and local reporting.
• Control over the provision of workers with personal protective equipment, overalls, special shoes, etc.
• Control over employees' compliance with the rules for handling tools, equipment, and other means in accordance with the requirements of the rules of the OP and PB.
• Control over the condition of employees' workplaces and their compliance with regulatory and legal acts with OP and PB.
• Organization and control of preliminary and periodical medical examinations of workers in labor professions.
• Work with inspectionby which state bodies (inspections).
• Production quality control.
• Work with customer claims and claims to external suppliers.
• Support of internal audits, organization of maintenance work implemented standards ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
• Control of compliance in the enterprise with the current environmental legislation, instructions, standards and regulations on environmental protection. Organization and control of waste disposal, control of emission limits.
