OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND FIRE SAFETY ENGINEER

UVK, founded in 2001, is the first 3PL operator in Ukraine. In 2020, the company entered the TOP-10 largest logistics companies in the country (more details on our website: https://www.uvk.ua).

Location of the candidate: Kyiv or Kyiv region. Full-time employment (part-time work is not provided). Our warehouses: Boryspil district, Lviv, Dnipro, Brovary. Office in Kyiv: Pavla Tychyna Avenue (Silver Breeze BC). The work involves both visiting the warehouse in Boryspil district and the office in Kyiv.

UVK is not just looking for an occupational safety engineer. We are looking for a leader, a proactive and independent specialist who sees his work not as a set of formal duties, but as a powerful tool for increasing business efficiency and security. We consider candidates only from commercial structures (we do not consider them from state, utility, consulting companies).

If you are used to measuring your work not by the number of briefings, but by a reduction in the injury rate, not by the number of orders written, but by a real safety culture in the team - this vacancy is for you.

Your mission will not be simply "perform" and "achieve":

• Built system: Create and maintain a living, effective and understandable for each employee an occupational health and safety system that works to anticipate risks.

• Integrated standards: Successfully implement and maintain ISO 45001 standards not for the sake of "tick boxes", but as a practical tool that really reduces risks.

• Effective audits: Ensure that documentation and processes are in such a state that any audit passes without a single observation.

• Aware personnel: Create a training system after which employees are aware of the importance of safety and follow the rules in their daily work.

• Zero injuries: Conduct effective investigations with the main goal – to identify and eliminate the root causes of incidents and not to repeat them.

Our candidate:

• A leader by nature: Your key qualities are PROACTIVITY, INDEPENDENCE, LEADERSHIP. You do not wait for instructions, but initiate improvements yourself. 

• You are able to draw up an ACTION PLAN based on SMART principles, which is focused on specific achievement of results.

• Experienced practitioner: You have a cumulative experience of 5 years or more in a similar position (logistics, trade, production). We especially value experience in one company for at least 3 years, because it allows us to achieve stable results.

• Expert in legislation: You have a deep knowledge of legislativeazu on issues of OP, PB and labor legislation of Ukraine.

• ISO 45001: You have proven experience in implementing this standard.

• Confident user: You are fluent in Microsoft 365 tools (experience has shown that many people do not know how to make an educational presentation and calculate a budget in Excel).
