Description

We are looking for a talented .NET Developer to join our team, who will play an important role in building high-quality software for MetaEngine’s products and offerings.

As a startup, our team oversees all aspects of development from design, coding, and testing, all the way to continuous integration and deployment. Our ideal candidate has experience in all phases of development and the know-how to build innovative solutions from ideation to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute as a backend developer on the engineering team, focusing on scalable and efficient code.
• Develop backend applications for multiplayer games from scratch, ensuring robust performance and seamless user experience.
• Ensure the quality of newly developed code by implementing best practices such as comprehensive unit testing and adherence to design patterns.
• Ensure that solutions meet requirements outlined in the design documentation within agreed timeframes, cost, and quality standards
• Collaborate with other team members on technical aspects, including defining the technical stack, conducting code reviews, selecting solutions, and improving software development processes.
• Actively participate in writing and maintaining comprehensive technical documentation for the code and systems developed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software development using .NET;
• Strong experience with .NET Core:
• Experience in developing backend applications for multiplayer games (is must have);
• Experience with network protocols such as TCP/UDP;
• Experience in integrating backend, third-party APls, or developing internal backend APls from the ground up:
• Experience with MySQL and Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, etc.:
• Great autonomy, collaborative, and proactive approach.
• Ability to support a fully distributed, global, and remote team across multiple time zones.
• Strong-Intermediate English level.

Nice to have

• Experience with public cloud design and technologies like AWS, Azure, or GCE.
• Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture and familiarity with micro-services architecture.
