ABOUT TGH:

It is an international non-governmental organization (NGO) that has been developing and implementing emergency, post-emergency and post-emergency response programs since 1994. These programs are in the areas of water supply, hygiene and sanitation, civil engineering (housing), food security, rural development (livelihoods), social protection and education protection. Specialized TGH teams work in 11 countries in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

TGH in Ukraine:

TGH has been operating in Ukraine since June 2016 year Having started work in Kramatorsk to support the most vulnerable sections of the population affected by the conflict in Donbass, TGH continued to provide assistance to those affected by the outbreak of full-scale war from February 2022 to October 2024 through four operational bases: in Dnipro, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy and Lviv, which provided humanitarian assistance through protection activities (case management, legal and psychosocial assistance) and basic needs (MPCA, shelter, WASH). Since October 2024, the TGH coordination office is located in Kyiv and focuses on protection and shelter in the eastern region, supporting people in need in Kharkiv, Donetsk (PUT) and Zaporizhzhia regions from its operational base in Dnipro through direct and indirect implementation . As a global communications specialist, in parallel TGH is also looking to expand its recovery/resilience program in the central and western regions.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE OF THE POSITION:The Outreach Worker, in partnership with other TGH advocacy groups, is responsible for delivering community awareness sessions and advocacy training. He/she further supports TGH's protection interventions as needed by conducting or supporting MEAL activities, including protection monitoring, focus group discussions, key informant interviews, etc.

Duties:

• Search for new locations for the provision of mobile psychosocial brigade services in Dnipro;
• Establishing contact and maintaining good relations with heads of communities\local administrations\etc.;
• Monitoring the activities of programs of other NGOs and public organizations;
• Conducting trainings on protection issues and community awareness activities;
• Writing reports on the work done.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work or souinternational industry is highly desirable but not required;
• Excellent report writing skills;
• Awareness of the current humanitarian situation.

Experience:

• Relevant experience at least 1 year of work in community work, social work or a related field;
• Experience and commitment to working through community participation and accountability systems;
• Sound technical understanding of emergency protection;

• Proven experience in supporting vulnerable communities;
• High level of energy and willingness to work closely with communities on the ground (this is not an office position, although there will be days of work in the office).
