We work in the areas of education, child protection, overcoming child poverty, health care, and also conduct advocacy activities related to the protection of children's rights.

MEAL is an important area of ​​work of non-governmental organizations.  The MEAL department monitors and evaluates program implementation, surveys the population, and makes reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for deployment of MEAL systems in designated programs in the eastern part
  • Support the MEAL team in conducting quality monitoring to international standards using participatory methodologies (including child-friendly methodologies)
  • Provide guidance/leadership and technical support to SC staff and MEAL partner organizations in identified projects to ensure system performance MEAL
  • Contribute to the creation of an organizational culture that promotes MEAL and understands its relationship to quality and responsible programming
  • Help SC staff and MEAL partner organizations to develop a strong MEAL team identity in the regional office and create cohesion between team members working in different areas
  • Conduct training and professional development for SC project staff and partner organizations in accordance with MEAL requirements

Requirements:

  • A university degree in a relevant field such as statistics, mathematics, data analysis, computer science, psychology, political science, economics, international development. 
  • Proficiency in English - not lower than B2 level.
  • Minimum of three years of management experience and/or MEAL as in emergency situations, and in a development context, strong experience in more than one of Save the Children's priority sectors is desirable: education, protection, rights management, food security and livelihoods, health and nutrition, and emergencies. 
  • Professional knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel
  • Proven experience coordinating quantitative and qualitative research, including sample size calculations, selection of sampling methodology, development of data collection tools, and training of accountants< /li>
  • Experience using KoBo Toolbox, CommCare or other mobile data collection software 
  • < li style="font-weight: 400">Willingness and ability to travel in emergency situations.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including influencing, negotiation and coaching
  • Ability to present complex information in a concise and persuasive manner
  • Ability and readiness to radically change work methods and hours, as well as to work with arriving ambulance crews in case of emergency situations
