Save the Children International is a humanitarian organization with more than 100 years of history. Save the Children was founded in May 1919 in London. SCI has been working in Ukraine since 2014. It started its work in the territory of the Donetsk region. SCI has been working in Ukraine since 2014. It started its work in the territory of the Donetsk region. Currently, SCI is expanding its activities to eight cities of Ukraine.

We work in the areas of education, child protection, overcoming child poverty, health care I, and we also carry out advocacy activities related to the protection of children's rights.

Primary responsibilities:  

  • Collect information about the progress of each implemented project and enter information into database platform;
  • Provide support in creating and updating the MEAL tracking table;
  • Provide assistance in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and data collection for training and provide data to the MEAL Manager/Officer;
  • Assist in analysis and data collection to measure the progress and impact of project activities;
  • Participate in and coordinate the timely collection and analysis of all program performance data and success stories;
  • Provide daily data quality checks and ensure that all data is entered into the database platform and analyzed in a holistic manner;
  • Monitoring after distribution;
  • Take to places.

To be successful, you must have:  

  • At least 1 year of hotline or customer support experience.
  • Data collection experience.  
  • Good computer skills (especially Excel).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High level of cultural awareness.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

  • Register data into relevant data collection forms as needed;
  • Enter and manage data in databases as requested;
  • Conducts data verification in the field for all sectors to make sure the data quality is up to the standard and in order.
  • Monitor Kobo server for beneficiary registration and mobile handsets for data collection.
  • Provide support to beneficiary registration process by building online electronic forms.
  • Conduct phone-based interviews as part of needs assessments or other data collection efforts as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSc/ MSc degree in an area of social development/economic / engineering / information technology or equivalent. 
  • Fluency in written and spoken Ukrainian, Russian and, ideally, English

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Essential

  • With at least one year experience working with Excel managing databases 
  • Familiarity and comprehension with database designs and management
  • Experience in data collection and proficiency in managing and analyzing large data sets quickly
  • Good level of computer proficiency and ability (in particular Excel)
  • Previous experience with developing tools, data collection, assessments 
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection (M&E methods) and data analysis 
  • Commitment to and understanding of SCI vision, mission and values
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines 
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly developed cultural awareness
  • Ability to maintain focus during long periods of monotonous database work.

Desirable

  • 1-2 years of work experience in the NGOs is an advantage.
