Solidarity International (SI) is an international humanitarian non-governmental organization that has been working for more than 40 years helping populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by providing the vital needs of food, water and shelter. In particular, SI is involved in the fight against diseases related to unsafe water, which is one of the leading causes of death in the world. SI provides expertise in access to drinking water, improved sanitation and hygiene, and food security and livelihoods. POSITION DESCRIPTION
Under the supervision of the team leader Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist is responsible for monitoring the implementation of measures. He/she collects data and provides evidence of program progress and achievements.
Responsibilities include:
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) p>
Under the management of the group leader, participate in the organization of logistics and administrative organization, planning and preparation of M&E actions:
Collect monitoring data using SI tools:
Enforce security proceduresin the context of monitoring and evaluation of activities.
Reporting and communication
Compile monitoring and evaluation reports and provide project updates and recommendations as needed.< /p>
Participate in workshops and trainings that may be useful for the implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities and the achievement of project objectives, as well as in reimbursement workshops.
Keep monitoring tools and files in the archive in protected condition
Regularly update monitoring and evaluation tools and methodology taking into account donor indicators, gender, persons with disabilities, protection principles and do-no-harm approaches.
Regularly report to the team leader about the development of activities and the performance of specific tasks entrusted to him/her, as well as about the problems that have arisen and the quality of relations with beneficiaries
Highlight any difficulties related to his/her activities, Solidarites programs or security issues
Cooperate with the administration and local authorities.
Personnel management
Participate in the recruitment of the monitoring team (enumerators/daily workers) when necessary.
Train and develop the capacity of the team (enumerators/daily workers).
Monitor monitoring group (enumerators / daily workers).
REQUIREMENTS FOR CANDIDATES:
Education: Degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, International Relations or related field would be an advantage.
Experience: Previous experience in monitoring and evaluation in humanitarian or development projects.
Qualifications: Strong analytical and reporting skills, knowledge of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks and tools.
Language: Ukrainian; knowledge of English at Intermediate level.
IT: Confident user of Microsoft Office, very good knowledge of Excel, knowledge of Kobo will be an advantage.
Personal qualities< /strong>: ability to work in a team, motivation and proactivity, good organizational skills and ability to analyze the situation. Flexibility, ability to adapt to changing contexts/situations.
TERMS OF WORK
Place of work: this vacancy is based in Kharkiv, possible business trips to Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson regions.
Contract: fixed-term employment contract (according to Ukrainian legislation).

Key responsibilities:

Under the responsibility of the team leader, participate in the logistics and administrative organisation, planning and preparation of M&E missions:
Collect monitoring data using SI tools:
Apply the security procedures in the context of monitoring & evaluation missions.
Reporting and communication
Draft M&E reports and provide project updates and recommendations as necessary.
Participate in seminars and training workshops which may be useful to the accomplishment of monitoring & evaluation activities and the attainment of the project’s objectives and in restitution workshops.
Keep monitoring tools and files archived and secured
Update regularly the monitoring & evaluation tools & methodology considering the donors indicators, gender, disable persons, protection & « Do No Harm » approaches
Make regular reports to the team lead on the evolution of activities and specific tasks confided to him/her, problems encountered, and the quality of relations with beneficiaries
Bring to light any difficulty linked to his or her activities, to the programs of Solidarites or security concerns
Collaborate with the administration and the local authorities
HR Management
Take part in recruitment of the monitoring team (enumerators / DW) when needed
Train and build the capacity of the team (enumerators /DW)
Supervise the monitoring team (enumerators / DW)
PROFILE FORSAKEN
Studies: Degree in the Development Studies, Social Sciences, Publick Health, International Relations, or related fields is an advantage.
Experience: Previous experience in monitoring and evaluation in humanitarian or development projects.
Qualification: Strong analytical and reporting skills, Knowledge of M&E frameworks and tools.
Language: Ukrainian; English level - Intermediate.
IT: Microsoft Office Pack, very good knowledge of Excel, knowledge of Kobo will be a plus.
Soft skills: we expect team spirit, motivation, and proactivity. Strong organizational and situational analysis skills are essential. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing contexts and situations are also required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Place of work: this position is based in Kharkiv, possible business trips to Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson regions.
Contract: fixed-term contract (according to Ukrainian legislation).
Type of employment: full-time.
Salary: 1125 EURO gross (paid in UAH according to the monthly rate of the bank of the European Commission).
Additionally: paid vacation 31 calendar days, additional paid vacation for family reason, life insurance.
