Job description:
The role of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Assistant is to support the Head of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) in the implementation of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) work plan and to contribute to the achievement and improvement of quality program/project. The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Assistant will monitor progress and collect data on the effectiveness of planned interventions by collecting and supporting data analysis. The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Training (MEAL) Assistant plays an important role in the implementation of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Training activities in the field, including field monitoring and verification, baseline and terminal evaluations, needs assessment and surveys.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities: span>
International Medical Corps Policies, Instructions and Procedures:< /p>
Actively promote Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) standards within the International Medical Corps and among the recipients of the organization's services.
Contribute to the creation a positive image and general trust in the organization, in particular through the application of the Code of Conduct, Ethics, Values and Principles in relation to internal and external participants.
Monitoring, assessment system , Accountability and Learning (MEAL):
Use data collection tools to collect qualitative and quantitative data at different levels (facility and community level).
Implement basic concepts and system monitoring and evaluation according to the purpose of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) department.
Implement Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) activities at the field level in accordance with the work plan of the MEAL department and support monitoring and evaluation activities such as post-distribution monitoring, data quality checks, surveys/evaluations, operational studies, etc.
As needed enter data into electronic databases.
Support in conducting gender analysis and gender assessment as needed, including data collection and analysis.
Translation support tools and data involved.
Ensure the availability of tools and systems for learning and decision-making about the needs of vulnerable groups , including systematization of all data by gender, age, disability status, etc.
Data Quality Management:
Conduct regular data quality audits at various field sites/office levels.

Use probability and non-probability sampling techniques when appropriate and in consultation with the manager.
Qualitative and quantitative methods :
Conduct quality data collection activities and field-check data for deficiencies or errors, and correct any incompatibilities where possible.
Perform regularly data cleaning and data quality control.
Mobile data collection and manual data collection:
Understanding objectives, purposes, advantages and disadvantages of mobile data collection methods and assist the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) professional in the development of tools on a mobile data collection platform.
Collect data using smartphones/tablets.
Techniques of presentation and presentation of information:
Translate qualitative data from the mission language into English and vice versa.
Apply and use basic data visualization skills (using tables and graphs to present data and information) to present data.
Knowledge Management and Learning:
Contribute to internal training by providing employees with timely feedback, communicating information from and to the fields.
Visualization of basic data using tables and graphs to present data and information.
Support the program /project in documenting lessons learned.

Minimum requirements:
Possession of a diploma in social sciences, international development or a similar field, with relevant experience or work experience in the field of Monitoring, assessment, accountability and training. An appropriate combination of education and experience may be substituted for equivalents.
As a rule ,1+ year of data collection and entry experience in a humanitarian organization and/or working with refugees/IDPs in a humanitarian setting.
Understand the basic concepts of monitoring and evaluation and the main purpose of MEAL. p>
It is necessary to have high computer literacy and good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Demonstrated experience working with and managing databases.
Experience with mobile data collection tools
High organizational skills, including time management and ability to meet deadlines.

The ability to debug connections between different departments.
Learners of effective communication, quick assimilation of information, a team player, as well as the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
Demonstrated understanding data collection methods.
Proficiency in English language at an intermediate level (speaking - reading - writing).
