Charitable organization "Kyiv regional branch" Charitable Foundation "SOS Children's Town" invites a monitoring and assessment specialist to cooperate in the project "Support in psychosocial recovery and restoration of normal life of families with children in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine". The project will contribute to the comprehensive support of families with children affected by the war, improving their quality of life and long-term sustainability.  Duration of the project: January

Charitable organization "Kyiv regional branch" Charitable Foundation "SOS Children's Town" invites a monitoring and assessment specialist to cooperate in the project "Support in psychosocial recovery and restoration of normal life of families with children in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions of Ukraine". 

The project will contribute to the comprehensive support of families with children affected by the war, improving their quality of life and long-term sustainability.  

Duration of the project: January 2025 - December 2027.  Brovary

Requirements for the candidate:

  • Higher education in project research, social work, psychology, sociology or related disciplines, in combination with advanced skills and knowledge in the field of research methodology;
  • Proven experience of working with result matrices and performance monitoring in the field of development evaluation/humanitarian activities from 3 years - will be an advantage;
  • Experience of communicating with different categories of the population, tolerance, friendliness, ability to competently conduct business communication;
  • Excellent research, comparison, monitoring and evaluation skills;
  • Knowledge of humanitarian standards of work with the affected population;
  • Desirable experience of work/interaction with "SOS Children's Town" and/or knowledge of the specifics of the services provided SOS;
  • Manageability, reliability, result-oriented, understanding and knowledge of teaching and assessment tools;
  • Knowledge of the English language will be an advantage;
  • Political correctness, respect for cultural characteristics , maintaining neutrality and impartiality.

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of monitoring and evaluation measures: development of a detailed work plan, methodologies, main aspects of the visit and the reports to be provided;
  • Preparation of a report with an analysis of each monitoring visit, which should be focused on achieving the set goals;
  • Evaluation of the relevance, efficiency, effectiveness and quality of the services provided within of the project;
  • Monitoring of key factors, including child safety, prevention of staff burnout, integrity and compliance with established requirements;
  • Implementation of monitoring visits (Kyiv and Chernihiv regions);
  • Providing effective, concrete, practical and strategic recommendations on how "SOS Children's Villages Ukraine" and their partners can strengthen and improve further work in the region.
