"Tenth of April" is a public organization working to improve protection internally displaced persons (IDPs), the population affected by the conflict, through the provision of legal, social, psychological and humanitarian assistance, promotes changes in legislation, the involvement of communities in responding to emergency situations and the search for long-term solutions, in cooperation with and with the support of the authorities potential, with a special emphasis on the most vulnerable groups.

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive team player who is interested in communication, effective communication and self-development with the goal of protecting internally displaced persons and persons affected by conflict.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work consultant with communities, as a team member will:

  • identify volunteers, initiative groups and/or associations citizens, organizations that provide assistance to IDPs and persons affected by the conflict with the aim of establishing cooperation;
  • provide advisory and methodical support on issues of organizational development to volunteers/initiative groups/associations of citizens/organizations engaged in public activities, support them in the development and implementation of public initiatives;
  • model, organize and conduct educational and educational activities, as well as activities aimed at expanding the opportunities of communities;
  • carry out collection, verification and analysis of information with the aim of identifying human rights violations and risks faced by IDPs and other affected population groups;
  • hold meetings and communications with IDPs and persons affected by hostilities, identify needs, identify the most vulnerable categories of persons ;
  • process requests for assistance based on the assessment;
  • provide advisory assistance, dissemination of informationaccess to social services, legal, psychological and other types of assistance;
  • develop informational materials;
  • compose reports, descriptive reports with quantitative and qualitative indicators and other internal organizational documentation.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in humanities, social sciences or other relevant field.
  • Experience in the field of protection of vulnerable populations is welcome. Candidates with experience in education, human rights protection, social work, communications, advocacy, journalism, international relations, research, community development or other relevant disciplines are invited to participate.
  • Experience in humanitarian projects welcome.
  • The candidate is expected to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Ability and ability to solve activity tasks within the limits of assigned duties and project goals;
  • Understand and implement a community-based approach at all stages of the project cycle as a way of interacting with IDPs. Excellent computer skills (must be MSOffice).
  • Readiness for business trips.
  • Availability of a personal PC.

  • Stress resistance and psychological maturity for working with vulnerable categories of citizens.
  • Tolerant behavior with the aim of respecting people of different cultures, ages, genders, races, religions, traditions.
  • Negotiation skills for to facilitate processes with project stakeholders who have different levels of authority and decision-making capacity to open discussions on specific issues.
  • Time management skills to analyze workload, prioritize and maintain focus on specific tasks.
  • Critical thinking to objectively analyze needs and benefits and find the best solution.
  • Teamwork to create problem-solving strategies, provide constructive feedback, etc.
