SPD Technology is looking for a  Middle Node.js Engineer.

About the role

The product is a logistics marketplace that serves a diverse range of professionals, including shippers, carriers, forwarders, and warehouse managers. With a presence in multiple locations, we empower users to optimize their logistics operations through detailed data, advanced search capabilities, and insightful analytics. We collaborate with some of the biggest logistics companies in Europe, including DSV, Retal, Grigeo, and Magnus. Our platform is designed to support businesses of all sizes, from large enterprises to small carriers, enabling them to discover and execute logistics opportunities with efficiency and confidence.

Our team is working with the logistics data of shippers, carriers, forwarders, and warehouse managers. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive platform that streamlines logistics operations and connects all stakeholders with precise, real-time data and insights. While you will contribute to various projects, your initial focus will be on enhancing the logistics marketplace.

Team

1 PM, 1 PrM, 2 BE, 4 FE, 1 QA, 1 CX, CEO, CTO, 3 Sales.

Technical stack

TypeScript, Node.js, Nest.js, MySQL, Firebase GCP: App Engine, Cloud Function, Pub/Sub, Cloud build; Prisma, TypeORM Zod.

Work schedule

Flexible, with the requirement to attend all team meetings.

As a qualified expert, You will

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features, communicate with customers and product team.
• Help architect, design, and develop complex, large-scale systems. Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies.
• Conduct code reviews.
• Optimize application performance to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Perform code refactoring.
• Write integrations with third-party API.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of talented software engineers.

We’re looking for you if you have:

• 3+ years of experience in commercial software development with Node.js, Typescript.
• Strong experience with SQL databases, particularly MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with GraphQL, preferably with tools like Join-monster.
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including services like
• App. Engine, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, Cloud Build, and Cloud SQL.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines to automate builds and deployments.
• Experience with distributed architecture.
• Experience in setting up and optimizing backend processes.
• English — upper-intermediate (B2 and above).
• Proactive attitude with a focus on continuous learning and improvement
• Proficiency in working with GitHub for version control and collaboration.
• Strong soft skills, including effective communication, problem-solving, and teamwork.
