Middle Manual QA Engineer in The Gravity Agency

Genome is looking for a Manual QA Engineer!

Genome is everything users need from traditional banks, but safer, faster, and completely online.

We are a Lithuanian-based Electronic Money Institution licensed by the Bank of Lithuania.

Genome is a B2B/B2C EU-oriented company, that offers personal, business, and merchant account opening, payment processing, money exchange, internal, SEPA, and SWIFT transfers, as well as other banking operations completely online. Clients can manage all their funds and accounts within our smart dashboard, which is in a desktop version, or through an app on Android and iOS.

Main duties:

• design, write, and maintain detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured testing documentation (checklist, test cases, etc.) focused on the key;
• functionality of the system based on test design techniques, testing types, and levels in accordance with Company guidelines;
• conduct thorough functional testing to ensure all features work as expected, especially those related to key functionality of the product (financial transactions and calculations, user verification, reports calculation etc);
• conduct regression testing to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality;
• verify that different modules or services within the application integrate and function together correctly;
• develop test cases and checklists to improve coverage of critical system functionality in collaboration with the automation QA team;
• ensure that test environments are set up correctly and are representative of production environments;
• manage test data, creating and maintaining data sets required for testing to ensure accuracy and integrity;
• execute smoke tests on various platforms (e.g., web browsers, operating systems, mobile devices) as specified in the release plan;
• log defects in the defect tracking system (Jira) with detailed information. Ensure that all relevant details about the defect, such as steps to reproduce, severity, priority, screenshots, and environment, are accurately recorded;
• create and update manuals on the key functionality of the system, ensuring comprehensive and accurate documentation;
• performs requirements analysis and provides feedback on defects found in the requirements, product design, and potential problems associated with it;
• estimate the time and resources required for testing activities, including the creation, execution, and maintenance of test cases, ensuring accurate and realistic timelines are communicated to project stakeholders.
• work closely with developers, product managers, automation QA team, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback;
• participate in planning, daily stand-ups, and review meetings to provide testing updates and insights.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in manual testing of web services;
• experience in the fintech domain will be a big plus;
• knowledge of JSON, HTML/CSS;
• experience in using Postman, Fiddler;
• hands-on experience with Rest API testing;
• experience in Web application testing;
• familiar with Jira, Confluence;
• strong knowledge of the theory of testing;
• expertise in requirements analysis and clarification;
• solid experience in writing test documentation;
• well-organized and detail-oriented;
• strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
• excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Will be a plus:

• experience in manual testing of iOS/Android apps;
• basic knowledge of Java;
• experience with CI/CD (Jenkins).
