Brainstack_ is a Ukrainian multi-product IT company that develops cross-platform applications and services in the following niches: Parental Control, Wellness Ecosystem, Lifestyle Apps, Crypto&Blockchain, and since 2023 the company has started to develop in the direction of AI.

The company's products are a synergy of services and microservices managed by Kubernetes and using various database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB, and also work with protocols and AMQP.

Technical stack :
Backend — developed in PHP (Symfony), Node.Js and Python programming languages .
Frontend - implemented using React.js, Next.js and vanilla JS.
Mobile app - developed with the help of Kotlin, Swift(SwiftUI) and Flutter.

Required skills:

• Two years of experience in a DevOps, Linux system administrator or SRE role in a Linux-based production environment.
• Solid knowledge of networks, understanding of the OSI model. Ability to diagnose, analyze and resolve network issues.
• Experience with containerization and virtualization using Docker, LXC, KVM/QEMU.
• Database experience: MySQL\Percona, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, including performance tuning, replication and high availability practices.
• Knowledge of Nginx, PHP-FPM, RabbitMQ, Redis, ElasticSearch/Logstash/Kibana.
• Experience in administering Linux distributions (Debian/Centos/Ubuntu, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of Unix-like systems including kernel subsystems, system calls, inter-process communication, process/resource management, file systems, networks, protocols, sockets, etc.
• Knowledge of local tools for monitoring and diagnostics: tcpdump, ss/netstat, mtr, vmstat, iostat, top, sar, free, pmap, ps, lsof, strace, iproute2 utilities.
• Experience with monitoring and log collection systems: Zabbix, Grafana, Sentry, ELK stack, Prometheus.
• Ability to write scripts (shell/python).
• Experience with IT automation software with any tools such as ansible, puppet or chef.
• Experience with Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure
• Sufficient level of English to understand the documentation.
• Experience in incident management and on-call duty.

Key tasks:

• Implementation of configuration management for new and existing services using industry best practices and tools.
• Providing build and release support for developers and QA teams
• Ensuring availability, integration, performance and security for all tools used in the product lifecycle.
• Providingdaily operational support of critical systems and services.
• Root cause analysis of all production failures.
• Improvement of monitoring and alerting systems.
• This position involves weekly shifts (1-2 weeks per month).
