About the project:

You will be part of our product team. Team is responsible for building data marts, creating jsons based on them and sending them via Kafka. New Data Platform built in AWS.

We are looking for motivated and result-oriented data engineer, who can join our team in development of Data Products in our new Data Platform.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in data engineering or a related role
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
• Maintain optimal data pipeline architecture
• Proficiency in Python programming
• Experience with PySpark for big data processing
• Strong SQL querying skills
• Experience with database design and optimization
• Hands-on experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark)
• Understanding of distributed computing principles
• Building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets
• Experience with Apache Iceberg for managing large-scale tabular data
• Proficiency in using Iceberg for data versioning, partitioning, and schema evolution
• Proficiency in working with Avro, JSON data formats
• Experience in parsing, transforming, and storing data in these formats within big data environments
• Proficiency in AWS Lambda, Glue,Athena and S3
• Experience with AWS data services and infrastructure management
• Experience with Kafka architecture, setup, and maintenance
• Proficiency in stream processing and integrating Kafka with other data systems
• Ability to speak with Data Analysts to understand requirements
• Open and team-minded personality and communication skills
• Willingness to work in an agile environment

Your experience and skills

• Higher education in the field of computer science, engineering or related fields
• 2-3 years relevant experience in data engineering or related roles
• Experience with big, complex data that meets functional/non-functional business requirements
• Python programming skills
• Experience with PySpark for processing big data

• Experience with database development and optimization
• Significant experience with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
