JOB DESCRIPTION
The MHPSS Program Officer will work directly with the MHPSS IMC Coordinator and Field Location Coordinators to ensure effective implementation of all programs and operational activities. The Specialist will work closely with Procurement, Logistics, HR, and Finance to ensure compliance with all IMC policies and to meet the needs of beneficiaries in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program Support
- Work closely with the MHPSS Coordinator and field location coordinators to understand the program objectives.
- Work with the procurement department and technical specialists to prepare, submit and support procurement requests and technical specifications of the required goods/services.
- Together with the Coordinator
- MHPSS
- maintain program management documentation, monthly updating program management tools (HR plan, procurement plan, work plan).
- Participate in management meetings, prepare minutes of meetings, record agreed actions, provide follow-up and support for timely implementation tasks.
- Translate documents into local dialect/language as needed.
- Track and monitor all purchases at the designated field location.
- Collaborate with the monitoring team to track program progress using indicator tables.
- Produce Field Site Requisitions and other documents for hiring new employees.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports in a timely and accurate manner.
- Respond to requests from Resource Development regarding future funding opportunities and donor reporting.
- Participate in needs assessments, seminars, trainings, field trips, etc.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure adequate team staffing and compliance with all policies.
>- Collaborate with the MEAL team to ensure proper collection, storage and analysis of program data.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure timely payments and compliance with financial procedures.
- Provide support in the implementation of program activities in the field as needed.

Representation
- Participate in meetings with donors, UN agencies, ministries and other interested parties on behalf of the organization as needed.
- Develop and maintain professional contacts in the donor community, state authorities, UN agencies and other non-governmental organizations.
- Contribute to the formation of a positive image and general trust in the organization, in particular through compliance of the IMC Code of Conduct, as well as institutional ethics and values in interaction with internal and external parties.
Human Resources
- Supervise the work of the National Program Assistant and promote his/her professional development and capacity building.
- Maintain open channels of communication with all program managers and coordinators, managers of field locations and by senior management team.
Security
- Ensure common security protocols and policies are followed.
Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA)
- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and among beneficiaries serves International Medical Corps.
Other
- Actively promote compliance with PSEA standards (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Violence) in International Medical Corps and among the beneficiaries of the organization.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor or authorized person.
- Perform additional duties, including temporary expansion of territorial powers, substitution vacant positions for a specified period, replacement of colleagues during sick days/vacations/business trips, internal combination of positions and other tasks in accordance with the needs of the organization.

Minimum requirements
- Higher education in the field of psychology, pedagogy, social work and/or in another relevant industry. Master's degree preferred.
- At least two years of programmatic experience in a non-profit, humanitarian, non-governmental or government organization.

- Ability to work in challenging environments in both developing urban and remote environments field locations with limited resources.
- Experience working in the region is a significant advantage.
- Ability to make informed decisions, maintain flexibilityі in conditions of change and work autonomously.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team with representatives of different socio-economic backgrounds.
- Experience working with implementing partners will be an advantage.
