MEAL expert of the "Together for People and the Planet" program in Vsesvitniy Fond Prirodi Ukrayina

Organizational Expert in Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL)

(position on 50% of full employment)

WWF is the world's largest environmental organization, founded in 1961. WWF-Ukraine is part of WWF Central and Eastern Europe and has significant experience in conservation, restoration and sustainable management of natural resources.

We are looking for a MEAL program expert in Ukraine to implement two key tasks:

1. Building and implementing MEAL processes in the two-year program of WWF-Ukraine"Together for People and Planet" ("ToPP").
2. Development of the MEAL organizational system in WWF-Ukraine.

Key needs of the program "Together for People and the Planet"

• Development of MEAL principles, system and plan for the program "Together for People and the Planet"according to WWF international standards and the program itself.
• Ensuring consistent implementation of the MEAL plan and tools in the program; support and/or implementation of MEAL activities.
• Cooperation with the Coordinator and the program team for optimal program setup, MEAL implementation and informed decision-making.
• Consulting key partners of the program in working with MEAL tools.
• Conducting training events on the topic of MEAL for representatives of public organizations of the environmental sector.
• Preparation of reports.

Key needs in the development of the MEAL organizational system

• Development of the MEAL strategy of the organization and its implementation as a system together with the management team of WWF-Ukraine, in particular at the level of programs and projects.
• Promoting the development of the MEAL culture in team.
• Supporting the creation of an internal knowledge system / information management and the implementation of digital solutions that contribute to the implementation and management of MEAL activities.

The successful candidate:

• Has a minimum of 3-5 years of experience implementation of MEAL in international non-governmental, donor, development organizations, in technical assistance projects.
• Confidently works with MEAL approaches at strategic and operational levels.
• Likes to adjust systems, creating order where it is lacking.
• Confidently and interestingly conveys knowledge about MEAL to others and supports them in optimal application of thisx approaches and tools.
• Ready to use the English language in a professional environment.

Brief about the program"Together for people and the planet"

WWF-Ukraine together withWWF-Sweden with the financial support of the Swedish Agency for International Development SupportSIDA deploys the two-year program "Together for People and Planet".

The program is based on three goals:

• Strengthening organizational capacity environmental public organizations.
• Development of cross-sectoral cooperation between environmental public organizations, state authorities, business, humanitarian and other sectors.
• Increasing citizens' awareness of their right to a healthy environment and mechanisms for participation in the adoption of relevant solutions.

The structure of the program involves cooperationWWF-Ukraine in the role of a grantor with partners, Ukrainian non-governmental organizations that implement their own projects in the three objectives of the program.

Unlike traditional approaches, in the program "Together for people and the planet" WWF-Ukraine will act not only as an "umbrella" organization, but will also actively implement thedream project goals and integration initiatives. This will include public research, targeted communication campaigns, practical studies and dialogue formats aimed at increasing attention to the key themes of the programme.
