The IT Operations Manager will play a key role in maintaining and servicing our IT infrastructure and end user services. The work focuses on troubleshooting, administering and ensuring the smooth daily operation of Microsoft technologies and related platforms.
Primary Responsibilities
- Microsoft 365 and Azure Support: Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint) and Azure Active Directory (user accounts, MFA, conditional access).
- End-user support.
- Troubleshoot common network issues (DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Monitor system health, install updates, and ensure proper backups.
- Keep clear records of configurations, troubleshooting steps, and user guides.
Collaboration:
- Work with by senior engineers and vendors on escalations and small projects
- Continuous learning: Stay current with Microsoft technologies and security best practices.
- Maintain and develop office infrastructure according to business requirements.
- Department budgeting and activity planning.
- Ensure execution and compliance of business processes ie procurement, project management, internal communications etc.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience: ~2-3 years in IT support or system administration positions.
- Fluency in English (B2+)
- Problem solving, communication and service oriented customers.
Technical skills:
- Administration of Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint).
- Basics of Azure Active Directory (user/group management, MFA).
- Basics of Windows Server and Active Directory, Group Policy, sites and services, users and groups.
- Network concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
- Knowledge of endpoint management tools.
- Handy troubleshooting of firewall and security issues
- Data backup and protection
Preferred to have
- Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware).
- Experience with firewalls (Fortinet or PaloAlto)
- Experience with a management mechanism (Services Desk Plus and ADManager)
- Basic scripting knowledge with PowerShell, Python or others
- Knowledge of security principles and quality standards
