 Role: LOGISTICIAN / SECURITY ADVISOR 

Place of work: Chernivtsi Oblast  

Conditions: 4/5-months continuous and coordinated collaboration agreement  

                     Full-time or Part-time  

Salary: The salary will be defined on the basis of the candidate's experience  

Starting date: January 2025 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES 

In collaboration with and under the supervision of the MEDU Project Coordinator, MEDU Administrator, the logistics/security advisor: 

  • Manages the transfer of goods to beneficiaries and project partners. 
  • Organizing post distribution monitoring visits with local institutions and the local healthcare system (hospitals, clinics, outpatient facilities) with which agreements were established. 
  • Manages relationships with local beneficiary healthcare facilities and organizes procurement and distribution of purchased goods with suppliers. 
  • Drafts procurement plans and manages the selection of suppliers.
  • Collaborates with the project administrator to periodically update the inventory of medicines for mobile clinics. 
  • Collaborates in ensuring the correct application of MEDU's and donors' procurement procedures. 
  • Ensures the proper management and archiving of documents and their distribution to the team. 
  • Ensures the management of computer devices necessary for project activities (PCs, printers, phones, SIM cards, etc.). 
  • Ensures the correct application and updating of the security plan. 
  • Represents MEDU in local security coordination meetings in collaboration with the project coordinator. 
  • Plans and coordinates the movements of project personnel, in collaboration with the Project coordinator. 
  • Assists with various bureaucratic procedures connected to MEDU’s work in the country.

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Social Sciences or International cooperation and development 
  • Minimum of one year of work experience as a Logistician and/or Security Manager 
  • Foreign languages: working knowledge of English 
  • Adherence to humanitarian action principles 
  • Demonstrates a sense of initiative and flexibility 
  • Driving licence type B 
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team 
  • Capacity to prioritize, adapt and thrive in stressful conditions 
  • Proficient in coordinating and organizing his own work-flow 
  • Possesses strong planning and contextual analysis skills 
  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural context 

 OTHER DESIRED REQUIREMENTS 

  • Previous work experience with non-profit organizations in the socio-health or mental health field 
  • Proven strategic contacts to ensure project operational security
