Linux Engineer / DevOps in bakotech

We are currently looking for a Linux Engineer / DevOps who has deep technical expertise, works confidently with production environments and is able to take responsibility for infrastructure stability.

Area of responsibility:

• Administration and support of servers on Ubuntu, optimization of system stability and performance;
• Deep work with file systems, processes, services, packages and access rights;
• Full-fledged work with Docker: development and optimization of Dockerfile, work with Docker Engine, registers, volumes, configuration of Docker Networking (bridge, host), use of Docker CLI and Docker Compose, troubleshooting of containers, analysis logs, resource control;
• MySQL support and optimization (backup/dump, basic optimization); 
• Diagnosis and resolution of incidents of varying complexity;
• Automation of processes using Bash-scripts;
• Interaction with other technical teams and documentation of processes.

Our expectations from the candidate:

• Commercial experience with Linux (Ubuntu) from 3 years, a solid understanding of the internal mechanisms of the OS;
• Deep practical experience of working with Docker and docker-compose in production;
• Experience of MySQL support and optimization, understanding of backup and recovery principles;
• Confident work with nginx, Redis, understanding of their role in the service architecture;
• Practical experience of using Rsync;
• Basic knowledge of network basics: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, ports, SSH;
• Systems thinking and the ability to independently find and eliminate the root cause of problems;
• Orientation on automation, minimizing manual processes and improving infrastructure reliability;
• Ability to communicate clearly and structured about technical solutions;
• High level of responsibility and team interaction.

Will be an advantage:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure).
• Practical experience with Kubernetes / k3s, Rancher.
• Building or supporting CI/CD (GitHub Actions / GitLab CI / Jenkins).
• Experience with Helm, Terraform, GitOps.
• Configuring monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana).
