Linguistic Support Officer/ Translator in ZEST Autsorsing

We are holding a competition for the position of "Translator" for the team of the Coordination Center for the Development of Family Education and Child Care. 

The coordination center is a consulting body of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, whose task is to coordinate the efforts of the government, international and public organizations for the development of the child care system based on global and European practices, which will meet the urgent needs of Ukraine and the long-term goals of joining the of the European Union. Main duties:

• Ensuring consistent and simultaneous interpretation during meetings, seminars, trainings and conferences.

• Promoting communication between Ukrainian-speaking and foreign-speaking stakeholders.

• Translation of project documents, reports, training materials and correspondence from Ukrainian to English and vice versa.

• Ensuring accuracy and consistency of translated materials.

• Preparation of summaries and detailed reports on meetings and events.

• Maintaining accurate records of oral and written translations.

• Supporting the preparation of presentations and other visual materials for project-related events.

• Provide language training and support to team members and stakeholders as needed.

• Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective communication and coordination within the project.

• If necessary, maintaining communication with external providers of language services.

Requirements for candidates:< /p>

• Education: Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, international relations or related fields.

• Work experience of 5 years or more in the field oral and written translation, preferably in the context of international development.

• Experience of working with non-profit organizations or social initiatives is desirable.

• Free proficiency in Ukrainian and English is mandatory. Knowledge of additional languages ​​is an advantage.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and under tight deadlines.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and translation software.

• Strong intercultural communication skills.

• Attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work both independently and in a team.

• Dedication to the goals and values ​​of the project.
