DRB is currently seeking a highly qualified Leadspecialist in information technology (Full Stack Developer (TypeScript/React)) to work in our office in Kyiv.

About work:< /strong>

DRB in Ukraine is developing a web application designed to manage program data throughout the country. The program processes a large and complex data set, derived primarily from around 100 KoboToolbox forms that are automatically stored in a SQL database, along with data from external APIs. The program contains various components to update, transform, display and analyze this data set. It ensures data protection by limiting access to authorized persons, simplifying activity tracking, analysis and reporting. The purpose of the Leading Information Technology Specialist is to support the development of this program.

This position focuses on activities throughout the country and ensures compliance with the procedures and instructions of the DRB within the country. The position contributes to the development of country strategies, which are translated into action plans and day-to-day tasks. The position provides support and/or technical direction to in-country operations while overseeing in-country activities.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Implementation of such functions and user interfaces, as information panels and so onfrom data.
  • Creating efficient and reusable external systems that manage complex web applications.
  • Collaboration with other departments to improve the product based on their feedback.
  • Identifying and solving performance and scalability issues.
  • Developing scripts to update or migrate an existing dataset to ensure consistency. 
  • Analyzing data and identifying relevant changes, trends and patterns, providing valuable information for making informed decisions.

About you:

To be successful in this position, we expect you to ha At least 2 years of software development experience in one or more programming languages. 

In addition, we expect you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science in related field or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with Typescript, including concepts such as generic, asynchronous, and functional programming.
  • Experience with React.
  • Experience working with RESTful APIs and front-end performance optimization.
  • High command of English language.
