Purpose of the position:Leading specialist/-rank on issues of humanitarian diplomacy and advocacy, reporting to the Head of the Department of Strategic Partnerships and International Relations of the Russian Federation, as well as The head of the Humanitarian Diplomacy Unit will support the humanitarian diplomacy of the TCHU by conducting comprehensive policy analysis, developing effective communication materials, managing relations with stakeholders, coordinating advocacy efforts and effective dissemination of the TCHU advocacy messages.

Responsibilities and functional tasks:

Relationship management and coordination

  • Maintaining relationships and proper coordination with internal and external stakeholders at national and international levels, in particular with the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (RCRC), international and national non-governmental organizationsnizations (INGO, NGO), academic circles, state institutions and international entities.

Development of political and communication products to promote the advocacy messages of the TCC

  • Participation in the development and implementation of various types of TCHU advocacy products (policy documents, reports, concepts), in close cooperation with the data analysis specialist.

Promoting the participation and visibility of the TCHU at the relevant regional, European and international forums.

  • Coordination, preparation and on various platforms, providing technical and administrative support to the TCHU. none">Collaboration with a specialist in the development of humanitarian diplomacy.

    • Active participation in team meetings and support of colleagues.

    • Adherence to the fundamental principles of the Red Cross, demonstration of integrity, courage and dynamism.

    Requirements for the candidate: style="font-weight: 400; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none">

    Higher education or relevant professional experience (for example, in the field of political science or international relations).

  • At least 3 years of work experience in the field of politics and advocacy; in the humanitarian field, the Red Cross Movement or the United Nations, and/or experience in government institutions.

  • Experience and knowledge in the field of establishing and maintaining relations with various types of partners and stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.

  • Sufficient computer skills.

  • Data collection and analysis skills.

  • Personal competences:

    • Excellent communication and networking skills.

    • Sincere interest in working in the humanitarian sector.

    • High level of autonomy and responsibility.

    • Ability to work effectively in a team, as well as independently, without constant supervision.
