DRB exists in Ukraine since 2014. At the moment, more than 800 employees work in the DRB in total on the territory of Ukraine. In 2024, the DRB will continue to significantly expand to implement emergency response in the social and legal protection, livelihoods, housing reconstruction and humanitarian disarmament and peacebuilding (humanitarian demining) sectors, providing direct support to responsible individuals and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and as well as their partners.
DRB is currently looking for a Leading Partner Specialistin the city of Kyiv. You are expected to travel around Ukraine.

DRB is in the process of expanding and developing its capacity building support for partners and is looking for a Lead Partner Specialist to support coordination and facilitate capacity development of partner organizations. The Lead Specialist plays an important role in providing high-quality partner capacity development support by supporting capacity assessments, preparing capacity development plans, coordinating capacity development between various DRB units, and ensuring alignment of support with partner needs and objectives. The Lead Partner Specialist will also organize and deliver non-technical training.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Maintain awareness about obligations DRB on partner capacity development
- Review project proposal applications and budgets to identify and track available budget and commitments to donors for capacity development.< /li>
Development and design of capacity development modality
- Support technical coordinators in the development of toolkits for partner capacity development.
< li>Coordinate trainings for trainers, take part in them in order to become a trainer in the future. - If necessary, provide support in the development of tools and approaches to the development of the potential of partners.
Determine the needs of partners regarding the development of organizational potential
- Identify DRB partners who need support in capacity development by conducting needs analysis, meetings with partners, etc.
- Ensure a clear understanding of the organizational goals and priorities of partner capacity development. Ensure that partners' objectives are prioritized within the framework of the support provided by the DRB and coordinate delivery activitiespartner capacity development assistance with other DRB departments.
- Support the development of methodologies and tools to assess partner capacity development needs and interest.
- Coordinate capacity assessments for partners to ensure clear communication between by all DRB departments.
Planning, implementation and monitoring of organizational/potential development
- Based on capacity assessments of partner goals, prepare development plans capabilities Ensure that partners' capacity development needs are aligned with DRB's goals and strategy.
- Oversee the progress and implementation of partners' capacity development plans, and ensure identification of issues and necessary changes to these plans.
- Support the organization and conduct of training for partners, which will be conducted by the technical coordinators of the DRB.
- Organization and conduct of events and trainings (non-technical) on the development of the potential of partners.
- Organize appropriate activities for monitoring and evaluation of trainings conducted for partners in accordance with the agreed plan.
- Participate in partnership coordination forums and contribute and/or contribute to agenda items, related to partner capacity development.
Accountability and reporting
- Disseminate best practices in partnership building.
- Support the processes of reporting and development of proposals on topics related to organizational development/capacity development.
About You
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have at least 3 years of work experience in initiatives or programs focused on the sectors of capacity development, effective governance and/or policy analysis - preferably in national/international non-governmental organization, UN or government institutions. In addition, we also expect the following:
- Knowledge and experience in the concepts and practices of potential exchange in Ukraine.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the work of CSOs/CSOs and trends in their organization in Ukraine.
- Experience of high-level facilitation – in-depth knowledge in conducting trainings and/or presentations in the field of potential development.
- Strong coordination and communication skills in a multicultural environment.
- li>High level of adaptability and flexibility.
- Complete professional command of the English language.
- Fluent command of the Ukrainian language.
- Master's degree (for example, political science, international development, economics) or an equivalent professional qualification.

We offer:
