Lead Frontend (next.js) Developer in WinTech

We are creating a new D2C product in the LegalTech/InfoTech category and we are looking for a Lead Frontend Developer who will help build and lead the development of a scalable and high-performing backend and participate in creating UI applications using Next.js and related technologies. As a technical leader, you will not only ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of software solutions aligned with Win Tech’s mission, but also guide and mentor your team, drive technical decisions, and play a key role in shaping the product's architecture. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and product managers, to deliver results in a consistent, sustainable way, while fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will have a passion for innovation, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies, excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams in a remote environment, and strong leadership abilities to inspire and guide a team of developers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and code reviews;
• Drive technical decision-making and architectural choices for the project;
• Collaborate with product managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications;
• Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development processes;
• Identify and proactively address technical debt and scalability issues;
• Manage, develop, and maintain all server-side components;
• Design, implement, and manage RESTful APIs for web services;
• Manage database design, build schemas, and querying;
• Develop UI applications using Next.js for the front end;
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of UI applications;
• Participate in Architecture Definition meetings;
• Participate in Kanban ceremonies (Daily / Retro);
• Review project architecture and facilitate architecture improvement meetings as a result.
   

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of experience in development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role;
• Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex software projects;
• Strong architectural skills with the ability to design scalable, maintainable systems;
• Proficiency in agile methodologies and project management tools;
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior and mid-level developers;
• Experience with performance optimization and scalability of both frontend and backend systems;
• Knowledge of security best practices and their implementation in web applications;
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins);
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make critical decisions under pressure;
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team;
• Deep knowledge of Web UI technologies, including React and Typescript;
• Familiarity with browser rendering behavior and performance optimization;
• Understanding of REST API and RESTful API design;
• Solid understanding of Git version control;
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote cross-functional teamwork;
• Passion for innovation and staying updated with emerging technologies;
• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience;
• Focus on quality, attention to detail, pixel-perfect implementation, and meeting user needs;
• English proficiency at an intermediate level or higher.
