LEAD AUTOMATION QA in Svitla Systems Inc.

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Lead Automation QA Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine.Our client is a company specializing in travel management solutions. It offers a proprietary technology platform that automates the booking and management of hotel rooms and services, such as sourcing and contracting accommodations, crew planning, daily operations management, and billing and reconciliation. They provide comprehensive services to manage crew accommodations, ground transportation, and travel logistics for large-scale operations. The client manages lodging and ground transportation for over 41,000 individuals across over 100 airlines worldwide. The company has also expanded its services to rail, cruise lines, and sports teams. Founded in 1984 and headquartered in Melville, New York, it has over 40 years of experience managing crew accommodations and logistics for airlines and other commercial travel clients.You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and reusable test automation frameworks. You will be crucial in automating test data management and redundant manual processes. Your programming, design, and automation expertise will ensure the testing processes’ robustness and efficiency. This role involves developing and maintaining the testing framework, and automating where we can to support the highest quality of the software products. This role will focus mainly on the automation framework and test standards. However, you may occasionally have to perform manual testing.Technical RequirementsProficiency in Java and SQL.Experience with RESTful services.Ability to understand and work with application code.Extensive experience with UI automation frameworks (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress) and API testing experience (Rest Assured or similar)Ability to generate KPIs for automation tests.Strong understanding of the DOM.CI/CD pipelines and tools (Jenkins, Bamboo) – specifically, in-depth knowledge of integrating automation frameworks with Jenkins, including build services and solution execution.Experience integrating communication channels like Slack with Jenkins.Experience with Docker and containerisation: hands-on experience in dockerising a Selenium automation framework or any application (nice to have: dockerising with Selenium hub and nodes)Experience in integrating test suites into application build pipelines.Familiarity with build tools like Maven or Gradle.Knowledge of build artifact maintenance.Experience integrating Jira Xray with test suites.Hands-on experience with BDD tools like Cucumber.Knowledge of performance testing and tools like JMeter.Ability to generate and manage test reports.Knowledge of ROI calculation for automation testing.Proficiency in using Jira for project and issue tracking.Nice To HaveMQ-based testing experience;Experience with Grafana;Knowledge of RPA tools.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop scalable and reusable test automation frameworks.Constantly review manual bottlenecks and identify ways to improve the process.Automate test data management and redundant manual processes.Write and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium/Playwright.Constantly assess the framework through feedback from other QAs/devs and improve.Maintain a centralised dashboard for test automation reports.Integrate test suite with CI/CD.
