DRB is currently seeking a highly qualified Jr. /strong>project manager (specialist) on the economic development of rural areas to work in our office in Dnipro.
General purpose of the role:
Under the supervision of the Specialist of the Department of Economic Recovery, the msenior fachiev (specialist) of the project on the economic development of rural areas < /strong> will support the implementation of measures for the economic recovery of rural areas, including, but not limited to, the provision of sectoral cash assistance to farmers engaged in personal agriculture and small farms, as well as the provision of grants for the development of agribusiness capacity. He/she will work closely with communities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and government agencies to identify vulnerable people in need of support, map services and share information about available services. He/she will be based in the Dnipro office of the DDRB, and field activities will be carried out in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions.
Your main duties will be:
Under the supervision of the specialist of the project on economic development of rural areas, junior specialist (specialist) of the project on economic development of rural areas will:
- Implement programmatic activities for the economic recovery of rural areas, including but not limited to the provision of sectoral cash assistance to farmers engaged in personal agriculture and small farms farms, as well as the provision of grants and the development of agribusiness potential.
- Contribute to the improvement of the quality of the community-oriented approach of DRB by effectively identifying and coordinating efforts with stakeholders, key informants and community members.
- Establish and maintain relations withby relevant state, private and non-governmental service providers, as well as other subjects within the framework of project implementation.
- Identify needs for economic recovery within the defined territories and provide information to the project specialist for rural economic development. Collect both quantitative and qualitative data for program implementation.
- Organize and conduct educational activities, including dissemination of key messages, distribution of informational and educational materials and holding information sessions, in accordance with identified needs.
- Contribute to improving the quality of the community-based DRM approach by effectively identifying and coordinating efforts with stakeholders, key informants and community members.
- Build strong connections with communities through consistent engagement with community structures and adherence to human dignity and culturally sensitive approaches.
- Regularly coordinate with the Urban Economic Revitalization Division team to share information, lessons learned, and ensure alignment of economic recovery programs.
- Coordinate work with other departments of the DRB to facilitate referral and information exchange.
- Execute any other assignments from the Project Team Leader and/or Economic Recovery Project Manager related to the achievement of goals, related to economic recovery.
About you: strong>
- Relevant university or vocational education (eg agriculture, political science, international development or economics) or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Interest in the development of agribusiness and agricultural practices.
- Confidence when discussing sensitive topics and when working with people under stress.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with vulnerable individuals, employees and stakeholders with diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to prioritize work and manage multiple responsibilities.< /li>
- Strong sense of personal integrity and understanding of confidentiality and ethics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Edge, Outlook/Exchange, Windows operating systems.
- Proficiency in Ukrainian is a must imperative.
