Junior QA engineer / tester in Ajax Systems

In connection with the expansion, we are opening several positions at the level of Junior QA Engineer in two teams that work on different areas of the product, but have a very similar technical stack, approaches to testing and the level of complexity of tasks.

The final division into the team takes place after getting to know each other, taking into account experience and interests.

Space/Space - the team works on a key part of the Ajax ecosystem - space. It's a virtual environment where users add, configure, and manage security, video surveillance, and automation devices. Behind a simple and clear interface is complex server logic, a large number of dependencies and usage scenarios for millions of users around the world.

Installation & Monitoring - the team develops B2B solutions for security companies: tools for quick installation and configuration of new objects, as well as their subsequent monitoring and management. The product is used by companies with thousands of real objects, so the stability, scalability and correct operation of the system under any conditions are critically important.

Our ideal candidate has:

• experience in manual Back-end testing - commercial or acquired in training courses;
• excellent knowledge of testing theory and SDLC;
• ability to apply techniques test design;
• experience working with client-server architecture;
• understanding API testing (Postman) and understanding API testing methods;
• experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases;
• working with logs and logging systems;
• basic knowledge of networks;
• knowledge of binary and hexadecimal number systems;
• experience working with requirements and technical documentation (static testing) etc.);
• basic knowledge of Python;
• experience with gRPC;
• experience with Docker;
• experience with Git and Jenkins;
• understanding of metrics and experience with DataDog, Grafana;
• understanding of embedded systems.

Tasks you will do:

• manual back-end testing systems;
• functional and non-functional testing;
• work with API, gRPC and proprietary binary protocol;
• work with monolithic and microservice architectures;
• work with databases (MySQL, MongoDB);
• analysis of logs and investigation of incorrect system behavior;
• work with QA tools and emulators;
• writing and updating test documentation;
• participation in the analysis of requirements at the early stages of development;
• interaction with development teams, business analysts;
• communication with Beta Test participants and the team Support.
