DevCom is looking for a Junior QA Engineer!

Join our team as a Junior QA Engineer and dive into exciting tasks like testing Web, API, and Mobile Applications. Collaborate with developers to tackle complex challenges, create and execute detailed test cases, and ensure top-notch software quality. You’ll also play a key role in releasing updates, refining project documentation and continuously improving QA processes.

About project:

Country: Scotland

Project specifics: Mobile App (iOS, Android): Treatment and prevention of psychological trauma arising from the professional activities of emergency service workers.

CMS: system to setup App content, Persona flow, etc.

Team: PM, QA, TechLead, front-end DEV, back-end DEV

We are looking for a friendliness, independent, and responsible person who has:

  1. Over than 1 year of testing experience on real Project (testing as a part of QA cources is not counted).
  2. English language level of B1+
  3. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes;
  4. Proven experience in writing and executing clear, concise, and comprehensive checklists, test cases, and creating bug reports;
  5. Proven experience in testing functional requirements.
  6. Proven experience in testing methodologies and types.
  7. Proven experience in UI manual testing, including responsive design.
  8. Experience in writing SQL queries.
  9. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development processes (Jira, Confluence)

Would be a plus:

  1. Experience in writing Project Documentation.
  2. Experience in Mobile App testing.
  3. Experience in testing API (Swagger, Postman — separate requests and collections).

As a QA Engineer, you will:

  1. Test Web + API, Mobile App;
  2. Collaborate closely with developers to understand the functionality and complexities of the project software;
  3. Develop and execute checklists and test cases based on the product’s requirements and technical understanding;
  4. Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing;
  5. Collaborate with developers to fix issues and ensure software quality;
  6. Assist in the release of updates and new software versions by performing regression testing;
  7. Continually update tests as requirements change and expand;
  8. Update Project Documenttion after Releases;
  9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and methods;
  10. Demonstrate communication and proactive skills
