Junior Manual QA Engineer (Regress Team) in Ajax Systems

R&D is responsible for device development at Ajax, which consists of four departments: System, Device, Automation and QA.

Security systems have increased requirements for reliability and stability of operation. That is why the QA Department at Ajax Systems accompanies the product both at the development stage and in the process of production and further development. They detect bugs in hardware, software, or system interactions. This is not just a team of "clickers", these are creative engineers. They test new devices in various extreme conditions: they simulate the movements of people and animals, reproduce complex weather conditions, temperature changes, arrange controlled fires and flooding.

What is technically interesting vacancy?

I will have to test the operation of the OS on hardware of my own development, the delivery of information via the Jeweler radio protocol, the payment of this data and the transfer to the server part of the system. All these processes are controlled by OS Malevich - a real-time operating system (RTOS), which simultaneously provides multi-functionality and reliability. Real-time systems are used in elevators, car brakes, and ballistic missiles. They are provided with maximum reliability. If the system does not work in a clearly measured time, then this action will no longer make sense - a disaster will occur. This is the key difference between RTOS and Linux, where operations wait for their turn to be executed. This is one of the reasons why Black Square is not built on Linux.

Needed knowledge and skills:

• excellent knowledge of testing theory;
• ability to apply test design techniques;
• ability to write bug reports and test cases;
• knowledge of SDLC;
• experience working with requirements and TOR;< /li>
• good ones analytical abilities;
• the ability not only to find a problem, but also a cause-and-effect relationship;
• a high level of self-organization.

Would be a plus:

• experience with JIRA, Confluence, Testrail;
• experience with Kibana;
• basic knowledge of Linux;< /li>
• work experience with Git;
• experience with MySQL/MongoDB;
• technical education;
• knowledge of binary and hexadecimal number systems;
• experience/basic knowledge of working with electrical engineering.

Tasks:

• testing the OS of the hub - Malevich;
• not only find bugs, but also with the help of logs and external ones manifestations, find out the reasons for incorrect behavior of the system;
• participate in the analysis and updating of documentation;
• validate the system for functional and non-functional requirements;
• write checklists, test cases, test plans
• work with Git;
• find the problem not only in Malevich, but also in other parts of the system (Server, Mobile/DesktopApp's), interact with other teams and departments (developers, designers, business analysts);
• work with QA Tools (server/device emulators);
• interaction with Beta Test participants and by the Support team;
• participation in the optimization of testing processes;
• improve the quality of the system in as a whole.
