DRB has been operating in Ukraine since 2014, DRB already has more than 800 employees in Ukraine and will continue to expand significantly in 2024, for rapid response to the emergency situation in the sectors of social protection, provision of means of livelihood, provision of housing and non-food kits, humanitarian demining and peacebuilding (humanitarian demining), through direct intervention and support of authorized persons and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). DRB will continue to implement its suite of long-term solutions to challenges within changing circumstances.
DRB is currently seeking a highly qualified Junior fhousing restoration project specialist to work in our office in Dnipro.
General purpose of the role:
Implementation of projects, reporting and assessment, in particular: correctly completed and submitted acts of completed works, maintaining a register of beneficiaries who received assistance, broken down by gender, vulnerability and number per household. Monitor the accuracy and timeliness of internal reports, ensure proper storage of project documentation and tools (electronic and paper copies).
Your main responsibilities will be:
< p style="font-style: normal; font-weight: 400">Under the supervision of the rural economic development project specialist, the junior specialist of the rural economic development project will:
- Monitor and regularly evaluate the infrastructure of construction and maintenance facilities.
- Identify infrastructure needs with an emphasis on improving access for vulnerable populations.
- Focus on accessibility and the special needs of vulnerable populations, including people with reduced mobility.
- Implement processes for proper inspection of housing, land and property before starting construction or repair work.
local authorities before making improvements to buildings and structures.- Interact with other team members on complaints and feedback related to security, maintenance, building maintenance and utilities.
- Consider gender and protection issues in all aspects of activity. Supportand adhere to sexual exploitation and abuse prevention policies.
- Ensure efficient and effective program implementation in accordance with budget and work plan.
- Provide technical support and input into all housing restoration activities.
- Collaborate with relevant internal and external technical experts on sector-specific issues.
- Represent the DRB at meetings and other relevant technical coordination meetings.
- Ensure integration with other sectors of the DRB.
- Monitor financial commitments and expenditures in accordance with budgets and provide timely feedback on budget execution.
- Plan and coordinate logistical support and movement of personnel to and from various operational areas.
- Initiate purchases and ensure their fulfillment.
About you:< /strong>
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have at least 1 year of work experience in the field of humanitarian response in an international NGO. In addition, we also expect the following from you:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field in construction, architecture or other relevant field is an advantage.
- Experience performing administrative and support tasks.
- Excellent MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.
- li>Skills to work with GIS software and AutoCAD are an advantage.
- Professional command of the Ukrainian language, basic knowledge of the English language is an advantage.
